About 15 years ago I started restoring vintage MX bikes as a hobby. When Ebay came out I started listing them on there and was able to make a small fortune from the bikes I had already done. It kind of turned into a side business for me. I only do bikes now for collectors. They actually consign me to do a bike for them. Anyhow here is my latest bike (1974 MR50) that will be shipped to Michigian next week. It is almost done just need to set the points and install the front brake cable. It is amazing that guys my age are buying these, I guess to buy back their childhood.

Basically it is. I also have the little tags that hang from the handlebars that the dealers used to put on the bikes. The buyers really dig that.

Thats way cool.. The warning sticker on the tank is kinda funny.. Only three lines.. This day and age it would stretch all the way down the tank..

I had an XR 75 when I was a kid. I restored a 1974 XR 75 for my son when he turned 5, He'll be 21 in a month. I still have that bike.

I'm currently in the process of restoring and building my original 74 XR75 K1 in to a mini racer. Getting close to being competed.

I have a friend in Monrovia who has an old Harley all in boxes and pieces in his garage rafters,, so his wife doesn't know about it!

I've got my 78 Norton 750 Commando that I've had since new. I'm planning on retiring in about a year and one of the first things I'm gonna start on is restoring that bike...Wish I still had my 250 Elsinore. :(

Great resto work.

Thanks River for that video.

Steve McQueen doing it in the desert. Don't you know the studio people had a cow every time he went out. Wish I had been one of the guys on the ride.

Finished my 72 CZ400 and working on my 78 RM 125.

I would love to get ahold of a XR 75, charcoal gray with two red stripes on the tank. So many memories on that bike, and more than one trip to the ER.

I had one back in the day. Lots of fun and pain. I rode the shit out of it and traded it for a.nintendo when they came out.
