I’m getting too old to lift these aluminum blocks in and out of the machine all day long. Used a piece of 1.5 sq x 1/8“ wall steel tubing clamped to the fork and extend it out over the machine. I use heavy bearing grease on the square tubing so that the winch will slide easily. The chain on the back of the forklift boom is there to keep it from creeping down so it will stay horizontal. I just left the forklift stationary there for about a week. It actually worked really well.

This getting old shit ain't for sissies! Gotta work smarter and not harder to keep the old back working right, well done sir.

Tell us more about the leaf blower and old carpenters bit braces on the cart. Part time landscaper and cabinet maker while the Fadal is running?

The leaf blower is to keep the leaves out of the shop because when we open our back doors in the afternoon the wind blows them right into the shop. So every day I take a couple minutes and blow them back out. Seems to be a futile attempt. The carpenter drills are set up for chamfering holes. I have several different sizes ready to go and it works great. I can chamfer the hole faster than the CNC machine can.
