Hey San Diego peeps! I got a question?

I'm looking to rent a place on the beach in the next month or so. Does anyone have a place they rent out or one they have stayed in that is nice? I'd like it to be in the San Diego area because that's where my family lives and I want to spend time with them.

Only places I know are in North County along Carlsbad beach and go for 5k a week.

Extended stay type maybe?
There's also a Sheraton next to Legoland, a mile or so inland but adjacent to the road that goes into San Marcos

I just want to sit on a balcony over looking the ocean with my nephews and wife. Preferably a house where they can stay with me.

Moonlight beach encinitas is bad ass. We have rented there a couple of times. smaller beach less crowded. Fire pits. It's a cool spot. Downtown encinitas is a neat area too very surf town chill.

We just did an air bnb on Coronado last weekend. had a great time. Beach was packed though and it was a zoo all weekend. Easy access to downtown gaslamp and the bay.

I wasnt a huge fan of the place that we rented on Coronado. I didnt pick it but there are a ton of awesome little bungalows or huge houses to rent.

That's my buddies beach house. Spent a lot of time there. Great location and house. Had some crazy ass times in that place.

North county has thin pickins... this Hilton is best in area. Tower 23 in Pacific Beach is a boutique hotel on sand... nicest in that area.

Not much for us coasties along the beaches in north county. Carlsbad Inn is nicely located by beach and all the eateries in town but currently under a lot of reconstruction.
If not mistaken Tower 23 is a sister to the Heat hotel in Havasu.
We have the Wyndham at the Oceanside pier and a brand new one being built a block south too

Agreed.... the Tower is my lunch spot when down south with clients. The rooms get a bit touristy priced at 400/ night in summer.... winters are a bit less costly. I have to drink an awful lot to justify that on my expense account... good news my mgr is an alcoholic so he gets the occasional indiscretion.

It's crazy to me how my sleepy little town has turned into what it is.

I'd like to stay away from hotels if at all possible. I'm thinking a deck overlooking the water and sunsets. No so concerned with actually getting in the water but it would be nice to SUP once while I'm down there.

My pops was a baller I'm just living life lol place is huge though and if you can get you sister/brother to throw in it gets easier.

Now that all the kids have legit jobs we are talking about doing some crazy air bnb vacations where everyone throws in. I'm stoked our powell trip is gonna be legit

You do realize youre asking for Ocean Front Deck overlooking the beach? You may want to consider going further south if budget is a concern. Rosarito or Playas De Tijuana. Seriously, Cali beach property is insane.
