Have you ever been in a conversation where you know you are 100% right and someone just wants to argue with you and you say ok fine you are right just to avoid the argument and they keep going on about how you don’t know what the fuck your talking about?

I just got into 2 of those.

1 Yamaha Rhinos are apparently front engine vehicles.

And I am stupid to buy another toy hauler because travel trailers are better for desert camping and I should buy a fifth wheel travel trailer. When I tried to explain I wouldn’t have a generator, water capacity or a place for dirt bikes or quads I was told to just put them in the bed.

Guess I’m a fuckin idiot.

One of my old Glamis buddies had a brother in law that told him a rotary motor was worthless after looking at his freshly swapped setup. This was 1994...and it was a big turbo deal.
He took him for a run down the street.
It was Christmas day.
He absolutely destroyed the 13.00+'s.
He damn near killed them both.
He said the screams he heard were worth it!

Next time go scorched earth. They won’t bother you at all for a long while after that.

I just lost a buddy and we would always have a “discussion” about everything. The part I miss most about him was his ability to be polar opposite and be open to listening about your opinions or feelings and at the end of the night be like “ok so where are we gonna get some tacos?” I miss you Kevin.

I’ve learned to not always try to prove everyone wrong. Just be happy to have a conversation with someone. It’s easy to turn something into an argument when it doesn’t need to be.

I even said ok your right. But I continued to be belittled about how is was “wrong”.

By the way this is all going down in my house.

I tend to not argue with stupid. Just not worth the aggravation unless it’s going to effect me in someway or another.

Can’t help on toy hauler vs 5th wheel as that’s a matter of opinion (yours makes more sense). But, the location of the engine in a Rhino is quickly solved on your phone.

Make sure you to have someone hold open the door. 😉

Oh I know but, there’s was different 🙄

And how can you put dirt bikes in the bed and tow a fifth wheel?

You have more patience than I do.
In my house, I doubt I would have put up with that shit.
Someone else’s house, yes I would have done what your did.

I kind of use this same tactic, I just let people say whatever. Sometimes it's just not worth the argument and let them learn the hard way. I'm the exact opposite, I'm always open to criticism, even my guys on my project. They might have a better idea, and if it works they get the credit, not me.

Isn’t it worse when you go to an open forum to complain about said family member or friend.

I'm in Albuquerque visiting Dad. My sister and three of my brothers are here too, along with their spouses.

Last night listening to those people was like fingernails on a chalk board. One brother wants to discuss philosophy. Another one is a radical liberal, and his wife is even worse.

The third brother is fucking driving me crazy. All he talks about is his work, and how important he is. Story after story, me me me, I did, I am, I know, on and fucking on. My sister talks so loud it makes my ears hurt.

Merry Christmas.

So few people anymore know the importance of listening. Talking about oneself is all the vast majority of people do these days

What an apropos thread. My sister started some Covid related shit. Needless to say we canceled going over to her house for dinner. There is a nitwit in every family. Oh well. Get to watch Ralphie for the 10th time. 😁
and this will probably be one or both parents last Christmas. Nice time to start shit.

I avoid deep conversation with family for many reasons they just think I'm bored. I just don't want to argue with them. If they asked my opinion it might scare the hell out of them. My wife keeps me tame . Lol

X2! People have lost the art of listening to others and no longer know how to agree to disagree.

Was with a good friend last night. Totally anti vax, govt conspiracy, etc. That would be alright if she didn't try to tell me the world is flat.
Couldn't put enough booze away since I was driving.
