So for the most part, when we come up to Havasu, unfortunately it's almost always over the weekend. This year we finally are taking a week and a half long stay in mid November. I want to schedule time to also meet with Paul to discuss real estate out there.

What are some other things to do other then boating, in town. We have our (then will be 3 month old). Does the weather permit boating?

Sell me on Havasu.

Activities with a three month old will be tough, but I suppose that's anywhere.

what are the dates? there are always tons of things going on in town.. movies under the bridge, Main Street fairs, cruise in Thursday's etc..

Always stuff to do, but snowbirds can make driving around town a little tough:eek:D

Weather is usually decent, I've boated in t shirt and shorts in November, been in the water in Steamboat on T day!

Man I have a huge list of things to do other than boating.

1. Off roading
2. Shooting out back
3. A laundry list of garage projects
4. Make a trip or two out to the desert bar in Parker
5. Paddle board from the channel to the turtle bar then back into channel and hit a few places. I am thinking about setting up a paddle board poker run. :D
6. Learn how to fly my drone with the boys - there is an rc airport with some real pro pilots that can get me fast tracked
7. Get ready for desert storm
8. Boating season will be here

It's awesome in Arizona year round. I might even prefer BHC in the winter time. That's pretty much why we decided not to rent out the house. I want to use it year round and it's my house I don't work to work around other people to enjoy it. [emoji41]

Boating should be fine in November but you will want to bring pants and sweatshirts and something to cover that babies ears. It can get chilly on the water.

The desert bar is totally fun and kid friendly...I suggest either wearing the baby or taking a stroller though.

The sand and water expo is mid November. Look for the article bout it on the front page.

Walking around by the bridge is fun. Or just walking Main Street and looking at the antique and thrift stores. Having lunch at Octane, Juicy's, Jersey's or Red Onion while you are at it won't disappoint.

Taking a walk around the island is fun. There is a walking/bike path that goes all the way around the center. You can check out some of the RC guys flying planes at the old airport while you are on the walk.

A drive up to Topock for one of their nightly specials is fun. We could easily organize an RDP weeknight meet up for that one.

You can take a drive (even in a truck) up bison to the plateau and watch the sunset. Still one of my favorite things to do in the winter.

If you post the dates you are coming I will see if there is anything else cool planned for that time.

We've been here 5 years in November and have never looked back. Every trip back to Cali to visit family just verifies that we made the right move.

Wow! Love it!

Yup dates will be from November 11 to November 23. (Penciled) we have the house for two weeks. I don't think we will stay for Thanksgiving, really up to the baby and mom when we head back home.

I certainly wanted to do this "off season" with the family to see if this is a place for us as a vacation home to enjoy.

Thanks all for the festivity ideas! We love the water, so walks around the island and bridge will definitely be on the list, restaurants and sand show if it's there during our stay will do for sure.

I don't think I can shoot guns from back of the house we rented. Lol but maybe I can see other areas in town.

Much help guys thank you!

What's the water temp out there in mid November?
We've been thinking about a trip in mid November too, but the kids will "expect" to be in the water and go tubing. Is that a pipe dream?

Waters cold. As kids we always skied thanksgiving time. I think kids have a different idea what cold is though.

These are all great things, but your last paragraph, I totally agree with.

Hiking Sara's crack is pretty cool, we have done that a few times.

You might already know this, but golakehavasu.com has an events calendar.
We only did summers here, after we bought our house a few years back we did our first winter here, it's better than summer IMO

That statement about Snowbirds and driving in LHC is spot on. Common to see some old fart blow right thru a red light in a 3500 and totally clueless. Also many SBs have a rough time with left turns. Not all intersections have left turn green arrows. Light turns green and they'll just turn left right in front of you. Also seems like Safeway and Walgreen's become a bit of a Destuction Derby. Can be a real shit show at times. Other than that LHC is great in Oct/Nov.

Your timing is just right for the Sand-Water-RV Expo at Lake Havasu State Park on November 19-20. The Expo has gone crazy big this year -- over 100 exhibitors and vendors. If you like motorsports you've come to the right place. Plan to come on Saturday, the Expo is from 9am to 5pm, and then at 5pm the After-Party starts on the Windsor 4 grass with a live band, BBQ dinner, cocktail bar and beer garden. Also be sure and check-out the new demo dock with boats in-water available for test rides. And don't forget, RDP has a booth area at the Expo with lots of the latest RDP swag on sale.

I don't know if it started yet, but there's a swap on sundays in the parking lot by Cha Bones. On Sunday Cha Bones has Half off on the appetizer menu with $1 bloody Mary's. You can make a day trip to Oatman. Check the callender there's always something going on.
