Did you offroad the whole way? And back?Very good. Lots of traffic around desert bar kinda sucked
Off-road all the way there. Highway all the way back. Pretty rough to do that one round trip with the family in one day unless you leave really early and there’s a new challenge is getting the family up early. LOLDid you offroad the whole way? And back?
Yea I want to go offroad the whole way there and back but I know it’s far 150 miles round trip or so? But prolly wouldn’t get back until night timeOff-road all the way there. If Dave goes make sure he brings extra parts or keep the tow truck on speed dial.
Im doing the short route. Dirt within sight of 95. Then some asphalt
And sitting to pee! That is like choosing the Gender Neutral restroom to do your business.
Planet ranchSo, from Havasu to the Desert Cabin (I know that leg) then on to the Desert Bar. Where do you cross the Bill Williams?
View attachment 722598 Havasu to Route 66 is an easy ride. Lots of fun. I’m in whenever.
Planet ranch
Yes planet ranch. LeadNav is the app. What app/software is this.?
Yes. And it’s coupled to a high-speed GPS antenna via Bluetooth. Updates 100 times a second.I’m assuming then you have a tablet or Ipad in your car?

I think I went with $60 or $80 a year subscription. It’s the Dual XGPS 160 antenna works pretty awesome! I love being able to plot out on the iPad in the house and then just pop it in the car!Bully, what GPS antenna do you use?
With LeadNav, have you dumped a bunch more money into the app outside the 20/download? Seems like a steep learning curve and or in app purchases are needed...? I have an iPad sitting around I’d like use... lead nav seems the more serious app aside from Motion X
Thanks for your time.
True I have a lowrance and plot everything on my computer using google earth then upload the file to my sd cardI think I went with $60 or $80 a year subscription. All the Baja trips and racers are using Leadnav so it made the choice easy for me. Sharing files is sooooooo stupid easy.
Kinda hard to lay in bed and play with the lowrance.

Yea you can do that. I have used lead nav and while the user interface is a bit simpler. Lowrance has all the same featuresThis. It is not quite as feature rich or as polished as LeadNav, but is free, and works well.
With a Lowrance GPS you just need an SD card and a laptop with a SD card reader or tablet with an SD card port.
I would imagine LeadNav can be used with the Lowrance as well to create trails?
Yup, I use Leadnav and when I shared the GPX files with you guys for StoddardWells looks like it worked pretty flawlessly. The good news is that with either device, tablet or app we can share common GPX files for our routes!
