HAVASU SCANNER FEED

[ONE-A-DAY]

So a bunch of volunteers in Lake Havasu monitor the Police and Fire communications from a scanner and then type the communications on to facebook.

Its actually pretty cool to see what really goes on out there. I know you can go down to RadioShack and buy a scanner, but with this service its free to anybody with facebook, which means alot more people know whats going on in the city. I wonder what the LHPD thinks about it considering a whole lot more people have easy access to where the police are being dispatched to.

All you have to do is search on Facebook for Havasu Scanner Feed and make them a friend and then you start getting it.

Scanning hasn't been the same since the advent of the MDT mobile data terminals.

But if you know someone that has a Motorola programmer things could get interesting.

I liked it on Facebook, but had to unlike it after a day. To many posts, I would log onto Facebook and the whole news feed would be from the scanner. Wish there was an option to post on major stuff and not all the petty stuff.

I posted on the scanner page comments. Apparently a large model Cessna Citation, like a 10, was seen going down on the cali side behind the mountains followed by a column of black smoke. Just fueled up at the airport.
