Any idea where, when and how this happened? USCG can be very tough on this kind of deal. Believe it was USCG certified to carry passengers for hire. Very sorry to see this. The conversion added considerable wind profile to the original hull.
Was it on anchor and blown onto the beach? It gets beached across from site 6. With direction of wind last night with storm, it got pushed into shore and looks to be there until a recovery crew is able to pull it off. Water was up yesterday and lower today
It is normally beached bow on sand, stern anchored to beach, like a houseboat. Was it on anchor and blown onto the beach?
Very sorry to hear this. What beach was used? Unmanned, I assume? On a houseboat, a little attention with bow on the beach, and using engines can avoid this.It is normally beached bow on sand, stern anchored to beach, like a houseboat.
very little of hull is left in water and looks like the decks are damaged

It looks unattended at night. If you are not looking for it, you would miss it.Very sorry to hear this. What beach was used? Unmanned, I assume? On a houseboat, a little attention with bow on the beach, and using engines can avoid this.
Was drinking with some Islander staff. All have said, that was the worst storm they have seen when you factor in wind and rain dating back to 1995. Islander storage rain gauge has over 2” this morningUghhhhhh. Havasu….. and the storm?
The storm cell that came over the island Thursday eve pummeled the Chemhuevi airport for at least a half hour before drifting/pushing itself over the island. Was gnarly to watch. Was drinking with some Islander staff. All have said, that was the worst storm they have seen when you factor in wind and rain dating back to 1995. I was thinking more along the lines of two or three center consoles with quad's or quint's and some Yankum ropes!A go fund me account might be in order.
Outdrive-one has access to boats!I was thinking more along the lines of two or three center consoles with quad's or quint's and some Yankum ropes!
The fact that it wasn’t de-fueled within days (can’t find any reference to it online) and then either floated or cut up in a few weeks is crazy…Jet Daytona is putting together a salvage crew Later in the year.
