A few months ago, I thought I read about someone in Havasu that rebuilds Outboards at a pretty decent cost? I tried searching that thread, but couldn't find it.

I have a 90's Nissan NS40C that was on my mini schiada that needs a rebuild.

I’ve used Al from Al’s Outboard but he has retired. He worked out of his garage for a while on select projects, I’d use him in a heartbeat if he’s still at it.

I thought someone that used to work for Al, is working at So. Cal. Marine, but even that's been a while.

To my knowledge so cal no longer has an outboard guy. But id for sure double check with Mario or Hamilton tomorrow when they’re open. @ham&cheese

I use them for my outboard service also
I used them once when I first got the Nordic was very happy with them great people. Can’t say enough good. Only issue I had is I couldn’t get ahold of them called 4 times left 2 voicemails not one call back. So I switched to Barrett and am very pleased. Have to wait a little longer to get in but seems worth it and they’re very well organized.

Fallon Marine is the outboard guy in Havasu.
Gil is the guy, he has a couple of younger guys who work for him that are sharp too. I took my boat in a few weeks ago just have him run a code and he was as thorough as it gets, he found a fuel leak that I didn't even catch and I'm a nut when it comes to boat maintenance

Had breakfast with Al along with Billy in Needles a couple weeks ago.
He is retired, but a wealth of knowledge, especially since me and Billy have gone to the dark side with a couple of vintage outboard projects 😂

Fallon put the 60R on my mini schiada. They did really nice work. I only have good things to say about them.

I thought I heard Fallon doesn't work on older motors

I'm guessing Lou Covert, a former ski racer and employee of Al Zink, is probably still in town somewhere. Albert may know where he is (or working now). Lou definitely knows outboards. If you don't mind taking a run to Boulder City, All Seasons Marine (Ted, Mike and Pat Miller) can take care of this -- older engines are no problem.

He is the guy. Every time my boat has gone to him, no matter what is getting checked, it’s hooked to the computer and is run on the hose and given a thorough once over. I really like him. His wife is also pretty damn sharp and can usually answer some questions but is always on it with getting my questions answered and giving me a call back. Since they are the only outboard shop you just have to call and schedule drop offs with them because they are super busy and their shop isn’t huge. Highly recommend Gil

Lou is the guy if he’s still working on stuff.
