Planning a trip up from Parker through Flag, Paige, Bryce, Grand Junction, Cortez, Flag, and back to Parker. Going to do it solo in 2 weeks as my buddy had to back out due to Covid work issues. Any recommendations for must see along the way? Plan as of now is 2 nights in Grand Juction, and just overnight in the other towns. Not in any rush, but not sure how much there is to see in the other towns, and mostly looking to just get away from this Covid madness and enjoy the ride, and scenery.

Grand Junction is kind of a pass through town IMO, you would be better off spending one night there, then going further east on i-70 and stay another night up in the rockies somewhere, that section of i-70 between Grand Junction and Denver is one of the most scenic roads in the world. The sections going through hanging lakes are absolutely breathtaking.

I I gave thought to that, but with it getting later in to fall the chance of snow, etc gets to be a concern. Going to stay off all the main highways as much as possible.

Yeah didn't think of that, going East is shitty for about 100 miles or so until you get to Green River, then it's beautiful desert all the way till Salina, then the 89 South is an awesome road as well. Probably would want to get off the 89 at Piaute Res, and over to the 62/22 south into Bryce, as the 89 goes back to high mountains into Panguitch, cold and snow could definitely be an issue there.

Great ride but do your self a favor and go toward durango and spend the night in Silverton. then ride the million dollar highway up to grand junction. unbelievable ride

yup, Durango, Silverton and the ride between the two is top 5 all time, we go that way to sturgis every year, all back roads, also if you have time and it’s still open ride through Rocky Mountain national park over the summit and come down into Estes Park.

Glenwood Canyon/Hanging Lake area burned up this summer. I-70 was closed for 2 weeks. I haven't see it in person but its charred now. Loved that section of highway.

If you do stop in Cortez, run up to Dolores and have a burger at The Depot. Best damn burger I've ever had. Get it with green chili and cheese.

Small little hamburger stand, just a good place to grab a bite.
