Wife loaded up on full size bars from Costco last week. We don't eat candy so no temptation loss. My neighborhood is relatively quiet compared to my area, the tract over from mine gets bombarded which I'm cool with. My neighbor's kids know where the real candy bars are at.

We live in a gated area, with only 11 homes. We’ve been here for 4 years, and the gate has never been open, so we get only the neighbors and a few of their friends. This year, it’s been decided to leave the gate open, so I have no idea how many kids we’ll see.
Did I buy enough?

I haven't had a trick or treater at a house I've lived in for almost 38 years. I was 12 the last time I lived somewhere convenient to have trick or treaters.

Our area has been through a flush of older people and replaced with families with kids. But there are gonna be a few of the 5-6' tall "kids" but we usually turn off the lights at 8 or so...

They damn near bus them into our area. Carloads park at Michigan park, two blocks from me. Many from way out of the area. Kind of bullshit, bet when we run out, lights go out.

We get car loads from Santa Ana bussed here to Huntington expecting big bars. I almost feel like we live in a border town one day out of the year.

Same with my neighborhood. It's crazy... Maybe I'll just get 2 or 3 bags and when they're gone I'll turn out the lights and put a trash can in front of the front door. lol

I had to replace the bags my wife bought twice already because I ate them all. Frikkin Snickers bars are like heroin! ☠️

We usually only have a few kids anyway.

Same here, those snickers and three musketeers do me in every year.

We already have about 12 big bags and I know this isn't going to be enough. We had over 3,000 kids last year and ran out a few hours in. 😲 I'm going to pick up a few more first thing in the morning.

We always get candy to hand out and my daughter always carves pumpkins too but we live up the hill and kids are too lazy to walk up the hill these days. We just resorted to getting a small bag knowing we’ll get two or maybe three kids at the most.

I still sit outside with my wife with the music blasting in the garage and drink some beers. I don’t care who shows up lol.

Kids in Havasu don't do the streets, they mostly go downtown. We may go there as well.;)

No candy this year. Several boxes of individual bags of salty chippy things.

I bought one bag. Will leave it in a bowl. Who knows if one kid takes the whole thing.

Having young kids I don’t want to miss out on them going out trick or treating.

Funny how things have changed. My parents never went out with me or my friends. We put a little something on and used pillow cases. Usually filled them twice. Lived in a very dense neighbor hood. Think 40-50 foot lots. Hated getting apples...

Our first stop couple neighbor bars. Cash only...thank you.

Well, as much as there is, it will be gone before 9pm tonight. 🤓

^^ That's 2100 pieces of candy, plus two boxes of fruit snacks, plus two boxes of Rice Krispie Treats, plus 24 pounds of mixed Costco assortment. This is on a 3'x5' table! 😲
