Popped my lower river cherry and did a day trip on Saturday to check out Blythe. Wanted to see what all the 'hub bub' is about. Decided I still need to go lower.

Started the day hanging out at the sandbar just above the I-10, then spent the rest of the day cruising south below the I-10.

Water was refreshing and flat. But there wasn't any real boat traffic, so no monster wakes. Lot's of stops to float, swim, and drink beer.

Overall, Blythe is pretty rad. Looking forward to the next one.

Is that a 19’ Hallett? Looks like a great jet bote. What are you running for an impeller? Stainless AA?

Really pretty boat, great for the lower river. It's definitely a different world down there. Personally, I love it but my family trips to the river while growing up were way down towards Yuma.

FAKE NEWS!!! Wake boats all over the place making MONSTER wakes... waters always really low and tons of ROCKS!! STAY AWAY....!!!

Badass boat!!! You must have been at the SoCal Jet Boats deal. Missed it this year, always a good time and always some nice boats showing up... South of McIntyres is the best. Like somebody else said, you can be down there on a holiday weekend and maybe see 3 or 4 boats go by. We have house in Ehrenberg, been boating that stretch of the river for 20+ years, and was up at Lost Lake for 10 years prior to that, you cant beat it.

Thank you.

It's an 18 Mini Cruiser. Technically 18'6". Hallett has a 19 but it is a bubble deck and a sport skier. Much different look as they're less cruiser-ish.

These mini's are tanks. 4 stringers and the v-drive versions were ski race champion boats.

I'm running a 523" Ford, 8-71 blower, Stainless A

LOL. Yeah, it was terrible down there.

Thanks. I think we did get way south of McIntyre and there was hardly anyone out. It was surreal.

7 or 8 years ago on Father's Day weekend we went for Ehrenberg to Lake Martinez, 70ish miles each way. Once you get past Walters Camp (34 miles south of the 10fwy) it was VERY surreal, we didnt see anybody for the next 20+ miles. Shoot me a PM next time you head down there.
