Gary Steele was the first to run a Vector in ski racing. His was rigged with a SSM3 drive and did not turn well. Great marathon boat, poor circle race boat. I think they added a skeg to the keel to solve the turning issue. Mike Avila would know more, he skied behind it. Most of the ski race Vectors I can think of were leg boats, Bob Stark and Rick Fuscardo are the only two I can think of that were V Drive, could be a couple more that I'm not remembering. I have never seen one with a #6 drive.
