Anyone know if there are any large Hallett decals in colors other than black or white out there? Would like to put some colored ones on the frame rail of my trailer, once repainted. Anyone know the font name for the Hallett logo? I have looked extensively, but have been unable to locate the name. From what I have seen, they only use black or white stickers. Might have to consider using the chrome bubble style decals if all else fails.

I called Nordic a week or two ago. They said they had another run or two to the old shop to finish up. Said shirts, stickers, decals, etc. would be in the last load. I am going to call them again in a few weeks and find out if they are going to make some in differing colors.

Also, would like to find a couple of the old style Extreme logo decals if possible. Extreme doesn't have any of them left, since going to the new style logo. They did state that I could reproduce their logo for personal use only, if I could not find any.

Check the Hallett group on FB. I think there is a guy on there that does the raised decals. I don’t have FB (wife does) but seen him post reply’s on guys who are restoring their boats.

I’m working on getting stickers made. No one has them at this time.

I talked to him. His wife owns a graphics business. Theirs are pretty expensive. I would guess that Nordic will have some of the decals when the move is complete. I just wanted them in color. When I call back, I will ask if I can get permission to have some made up.

If you end up getting permission, I am sure I could get some made up (trying not to look guilty emoji)

There is some website that has a national registry of all trademarked logo's.. You can download the logo from it. When Hallett spnosred the 10 year RDP regatta, that's where we got the logo from to make the banners for them. Dave @ Sharqskinz downloaded the file, but I'm not sure what the name of the website was.

Sheeeeeet don't think its trade market......could be wrong. But Etsy has it sooooo....

https://www.etsy.com/listing/274591...e6a1ff98a4b7e1f0594c2d50ff70fe3abd1:274591496

Just because someone is selling it doesn't necessarily mean they are legally ;) But if I was looking for it I would buy it there, why not. In regards to a vector/illustrator file of the logo that a decal cutter would want, when I looked online I could not find it, so curious about this site RD mentioned, I will stay tuned.

From everything I have read here about Hallett, they may have never trademarked or copyrighted their brand, however, I don't know for sure. From RD's post, they may have. I talked to Jerry and ordered some of the chrome bubble style decals last year and it was no problem. Should have asked him about the copyright/trademark then, and now with the sale to Nordic, I don't know if they will take kindly to someone using the logo. It sure won't hurt to ask. Worst thing they can say is "nope".

Done it - I have seen that one before. They say it is the logo for the Vector. It just looks like the same one as today except they changed the word boats to a cutout of a boat at the end of the bottom line.

Also, if you need a decal for your truck, I do have a spare white one I would be glad to send you.

Correct. If you buy from them, you have to read the fine print. By purchasing from them, you are conveying that you have permission to use the logo.

No inside radius on any of the letters

Good eye.. It definitely doesn't look like the Hallett Logo to me.

That one Dave downloaded off whatever website that was, was the actual logo. I think he had to redraw it though because it was low res? I'm not sure.

Interesting that the logo between the two are different as well.. LOL

RD

Yep, two different sets of hands on those, two different vinyl guys, the 255 board had a 3d affect and highlights on the rounded edges, added the word "boats" in as well

Couldn’t you just use a regular Hallett sticker to make a template to then spray the logo onto the trailer??

It was more along the lines saying if Etsy has it, they have more $$$ to pay a fine for copywriting than I do.

What I have notice is that all the logos online doesn't have the silhouette of the boat under Hallett.

Shunter, I appreciate the offer...but I'll get one, you might need one down the road and they are not easy to get....lol you can say that is an original "Hallett" sticker.

Dave,
It is very close. I just printed the picture and compared it to the decal on the back window of my Hemi Ram.
The only difference I could see was that the spacing between the letters is just a little tighter on the original decal.
The font is good.
Brian @ AOL may be able to help with the correct spacing of the letters. Brian embroidered all of my soft side coolers just in miniature and it is tits on. Just a suggestion.

Nick used to send me as many as I asked for of any style decal they had to offer.
I will see if I have any still stashed away if that helps.

What I did was to take a picture of the logo I wanted recreated and took it to our local print shop. They took that image and made logos for me. I had some window decals made and also made some decals for my trailer, Hallet Vector 21. They made the font from my picture. I just told them the height I wanted. I don't remember it costing me very much.

I have several. PM me your address and I will send you one. Hopefully, down the road Nordic will find any that's left and we can get some more.

Thanks, I pulled it up and it's fairly close. May be a derivative of the Blade Runner Font. The open line thru the name is higher (above the crossbar on the H) than the Hallett Font (which is below crossbar of the H). Style is pretty close.

Hallett logo was never trademarked. I had some rugs / mats made for them many times and Jerry and Nick both said that it wasn't.

You make Rugs and Mattes? I might want some RDP ones.

I can get you a quote. They're high end and don't come cheap unfortunately. They are the ones that Hallett had at the boat shows and in their showroom.

I’d be interested in at least knowing what they cost for my garage

Send me a note on what size you're interested in. They come in 3x5, 4x6 and 3x10 and possibly a 5x8. (hard to do a good logo on 3x10 though.

The most current and correct version of the Hallett logo does not have radius corners on the letters.

Finished proofs done in purple and with yellow shadow. Changed the background to white on both to see what it would look like on a whiter trailer and made the numbers on the Hallett decal smaller like the bubbly chrome decals they had. Think I like the Hallett decal with the yellow shadow on it, but the Extreme decal I think looks better in one color. Both look better than standard black. Also, price is more than reasonable for either or both.

Just a little update on the use of the Hallett logo. In CYA mode, I talked to Thane at Nordic today about the Hallett logo. I told him what the rumors going around were and asked him if the Hallett name was trademarked. He said "Yes", we own the name and it is trademarked. That being said, I asked him if he would mind if I had a couple of decals with the logo made up for my trailer. I told him that I was only doing it for my personal use and would only make a few, but I wanted them in purple and not black. He was very nice and accommodating and told me again, "Yes", that would be fine". Very nice of him.

We talked a little while about the new 285 build and other things with the acquisition and transfer of 50+ years of Hallett to Havasu. He said it was a huge undertaking, and they are just now starting to get things in order. It was interesting listening to him talk about Hallett. I could tell they are excited about continuing "the Legend".

Now, just before he hung up, he told me that they have just received a new shipment of Hallett window decals and they would be available very soon. He also said that they would be getting the chrome bubble decals in as well and they are going to have a bunch of Hallett bling available in the near future. So, with that being said, I am going to wait a month or so and see what they come up with, before I have some homebrew decals made for my trailer.
