I know. I have been looking for 2-3 years as well. I may just quit looking and enjoy what we have. That would be my wife's preference.

Mid to late 90's is fine. 496 or more.
I have a 1990 240, beautiful boat but want something a little newer with more power if it was out there.
Just checking in to see if anyone was interested in selling.

The only 525 24 I know of is 2FF's old one. Guy wants 75k for it. Needs a fiberglass swim step. He put a teak step on it. Doesn't fit the boat.

I may end up selling our 240 OB. I just have too much money in it to enjoy it. It won’t be cheep though 98’ 525SC Dart heads with < 15 hrs on the prop, bravo1, gamble housing, engine, carb and blower. Showroom new interior. If I let it go, I won’t be giving it away. Also fresh powder coat on the trailer and new 4 wheel drum brakes actuator—> shoes, even the break lines are new.

Yeah way steep even in this market. Do people not realize these boats are all 20-25 years old. Tower removed. I wonder if the repair was done right.

From what you have posted it sounds like it will be nice, the downside is even in this market breaking even will be tough I bet.

Your best bet is finding one and adding the power you want, as most were 454 / 502's. I'll see if any one in our family is thinking about selling there 240....

Yea, but I’m of moderate means… overall quality of life in my case requires a nice cash reserve and I dipped a bit deeper into ours than I had intended.

Probably I’ll keep it and spend a few years rebuilding our buffer.

Lol…I’m not positive but i think it is the 496HO

Mine did 80MPH easy and that was before I rebuilt the carb, blower and prop.

A month later he sends me a very short txt. "boat price now $70k, do you still care?". I had to pass. I was not sure whatever happened with the boat.
