You are doing the right thing.

The obvious point is that you didn't go from 200 to 475 over night, and it's not going to come off over night either.

To get to a size/weight proportion that makes sense for you will take years, not months. I'm 6'3" and 61 years old. I reached a maximum weight of 250lbs and I simply couldn't stand being that heavy. It took me almost two years to take off 40lbs. Mostly because I had to change my eating habits. and watch how many calories I was taking in. Also as I got older, it took longer to digest food and my body was extracting every calorie, rather than passing them.

First things first....Beer has got to go. The calories and the YEAST. Most normal beer is 320 calories/12 oz. So a couple of them is 1/4 of your daily caloric intake. Second is High Fructose Corn Syrup has got to go. For me, I start to gain weight almost immediatly when I consume anything with HFCS in it. Cane Sugar in soft drinks does not do this (at least for me). As mentioned previously the yeast has got to exit your diet as well. Breads, beer, wine, anything that contains yeast will cause you to process the sugar you do intake into gas which bloats your digestive tract and leads you to the enlarged stomach and intestines. That begins the spiral of you feeling hungry/unsatisfied and overeating.

Alcohol in and of itself is not necessarily bad, you can drink clear/distilled spirits and not start the yeast problem.

Stay with it, as you get down in weight you will become increasingly more energetic.

Keep up the work! It is not easy, yet small changes here and there will add up to a better quality of life.

Good for you both.... I regretfully didn't master the "dig in and save the relationship" concept regarding women [yet] But Im a young 64 and still trying to expand my emotional side. Relationships can be just brutal.
… absolutely true, on relationships can be absolutely brutal… Porsche Cayenne chick finally told me… She just wants to be friends🤷🏽‍♀️

… just weighed myself… Deleting 5 pounds for clothes… I weigh 183… My normal weight has been 182… when I went on the downhill slide and they weighed me in the hospital. I weighed 158…, so what have I learned???…Yeah, I can live on Banquet and Marie Calendars TV dinners,.. my blood work comes back pretty good… probably should drink more water???…🤷🏽‍♀️
