Grocery Store/Pharmacy workers are my heroes of the week...

I'd put them right up there with Police, Fire, Doctors, Nurses and EMT's this week. I went into my grocery store yesterday reluctantly because I needed to get a few things and pick up a prescription. These people still had a great attitude but you could tell they are worn out. I mean imagine working a pharmacy during a virus pandemic... Not to mention some of the checkers and baggers are barely making above minimum wage and are coming in close contact with 100's if not 1000's of people a day.

I mean I'm sure it's great to have a paying job during these times but you wonder if at some point they look at the risk versus reward and don't show up for work....we would be fucked!

Picked up my Synthroid pills Sunday afternoon... 90 day supply. Everyone was nice and chill as we watched the only Pharmacist working. She said her Tech called in sick. Phone was constantly ringing and the line was probably 20 deep.

I would wager she didn't have the best Sunday.

The store I shop at said they had their biggest day Monday in the store's 40+ year history.

I saw a few stores have stopped accepting cash. Cards only now so they don't touch anything

Wife had a tough weekend by herself. Monday they hit a record over 300 scripts by 1pm with 1 pharmacist
She's back to work today after a much needed 2 days off.
Not sure how she does it but people need their meds.

My brother is a PharmD.
He's Director of Pharmacy at a smaller San Diego hospital plus two other consulting jobs he handles. He's crazy busy but extremely happy he ain't at a retail Rx anymore. Was a Kroger pharmacist for many, many years.

Don't forget the Truck drivers that deliver Everything you need.
Poor drivers have there Truck stops Closed, except Fuel, Imagine no Showers, no food, but you receive the items they Deliver.
