The full length Wink mirror was popular 30 years ago. I never had one by the way.

That turbine that hooks to the driveline and made sub 10 second cars I thought was pretty cool..

GM was experimenting with eductors back in the 40’s and 50’s.. I built one for my car when I was a kid because I couldn’t afford a turbo. I always thought these with a small 12v 3-5000 psi compressor and filament would tanks would be epic for small displacement motors like SXS and import carts..

I had to look that up. Never heard of one before.

Is this the same principle behind a fluid (compressed air) extraction pump?

No they are basically a high pressure low volume converter to low pressure high volume. The way it works is you have a series of jets facing down a tube.. You can input say 10CFM at 150 psi, and you will end up with 1000 CFM (varies) at 2-3 PSI.. upside is though because of the gasses uncompressing in the jets it generally makes for a very cold intake charge. If you introduce any water on the jet side you can literally freeze an intake tract in seconds.. Pretty cool stuff. I'll take pics of the first prototype I had on my car when I was a kid.

When you go down the rabbit hole of eductors, there is some very bizarre and very very cool shit.. They make some that shoot into a tube 90 degrees and output hot air on one side and cold on the other etc.. The general purpose they are mainly used for though is converters, and to haul things like grain through tubes.. They will suck media up, and carry across tubes and deliver to a location. Think plastic injection molding pellets etc..

When my Dad was in high school
He took the window washer hose and fished into the glove box.
Filled the reservoir with Booze
Pushed the button and booze was dispensed

Your dad is a Fucking genius.

In Carlsbad there was a few kids with that setup. I actually put a "temp" pony keg C02 Keg setup in the back of my integra.. Back when the drive thru's would fill a giant plastic box up full of ice for free.. :D.

Try finding a drive-thru liquor/package store in most states across the USA. 😉

We had been out racing the Grand Prix (including mud hole) all day and on the way home we were driving through 29 Palms and passed one. We went back as we were still dressed in all of our gear and didn't want to go into a regular store dressed as we were. We drove through the designated lane, pulled up to the window, and ordered some beers.

Then they told us we had to get out, walk around the building, and come inside to pay. Stoopid execution on a great idea. Thanks California.

I helped my buddy set up the windshield cleaner tank, pump, and lines also into the glove box.

Worked great…
