Mentioned I would do a Glamis thread in my other thread. Hopefully there’s enough service to keep the pictures coming all weekend. Definitely feeling well enough to go! The downside to being so sick was we brought a used RV , rzr turbo s and enclosed trailer in the summer and we couldn’t start to get it ready until October when I was well enough. My fiancé was taking care of me so so the last month has been a mad dash to get the RZR, Rv and enclosed ready. I’m so grateful to make this trip out after the hell I’ve been through these last months.

Here’s the start of the trip! We leave at 4am. I believe our group is already in wash 23. The YXZ and RZR were apart just a week ago. The banshee and ltz400 got no pre season love so hopefully they work haha!

Now I have to start cooking the Mac and cheese!

I was thinking he was talking about the angle of the hitch coming out of the truck's receiver

Explain what is going on with the hitch

That insurance you’re not getting stuck.

Try pulling into a Mc Donald’s parking lot at noon, and blocking street traffic for 3 hours, while the police and tow company come up with a plan.

This guy has a plan! 😉

Sounds like there's a story here

Seems like the caster wheel is gonna snap the fuck off from leverage.

The castor wheel is welded to the receiver shank using 1/4 inch steel plate so it can take a beating. The hitch had the castor added to it when our dad had his old motorhome because the coach sat really low and they have a very steep driveway approach and would take chunks of concrete out if the approach angle wasn't correct.

I dont think it is needed for their current setup as the gas engine chassis' sits pretty high in the rear compared to diesel pusher chassis' but there is no need to remove it at this point since it will still function as a hitch just fine.

I’m sure he has a parking situation, where it “just” works. I’ve seen it on few motor home setups.

My incident was a 1988 custom 20 Chevy van, with a conversion. I was pulling my first Eliminator to the river, and stopped someplace for gas, in Blythe. I got hung leaving the gas station, filled full of fuel in van, and 50 gallons in the boat. I’m sure I took a few laughs, and I’m sure the cops and the towing company milked it for all it was worth. Lesson learn. 😝

Service for Verizon out here is just not working. Only att phones are working this trip. It’s been fun and frustrating.

I smelled gas in ride 1 of the RZR. When we got to china wall, our back floor boards had gas. We carefully made it back to camp and took apart the back of the car. We found two holes in the gas tank. My fiancée remembered he unscrewed a Bluetooth controller off the back center console from the rocklights he removed from the previous owner. They ended up using marine tex I believe to seal the holes and it hasn’t leaked since on the trip. I’ll post pictures of that, but it’s not on my phone.

Yesterday, the sand car cv boot broke when they found a hole at china. The guys got the kids back to camp and brought back a generator and light and parts. Spent a few hours at china wall while they took it apart and electrical taped the boot among other things to get it back to camp. A funco ended up giving us a fire log while we waited for the guys to return from camp with the parts. So there’s been two tear downs on this trip so far. The turbo s is so much more comfortable than the YXZ on rides. The shocks on the YXZ are a huge improvement. It is keeping speed and not bottoming out like it did last year. But, comfort mode in the turbo is very nice. The race air is protecting my face and feels good. Just need to see if they have tinted visor for the day time.

We decided to just take it easy on sunday and take the kids to vendors row in the small dunes for lunch and ice cream. Took a few breaks for their thumbs since it took over an hour from wash 23. Thankfully nothing broke on this ride haha. Wash 23 was pretty quiet all weekend. Nice to be away from the chaos.
On the way home now. Lots of broken shit to fix at home, but it was a good trip. Really love the RZR over the YXZ. We did get the prp cam locks on the two front seats of the RZR and we hit a witches eyes pretty hard. All points on the cam locks came out on the drivers seat. So either user error on not getting all the points in correctly or the sand messes with the seal of the cam lock. I am not sure about trusting the harnesses now.
