Glamis North - 2019

Finally made it to Glamis Morth for our first trip of the year. Looking forward to getting out in the morning. Not looking forward to cleaning up Sunday after seeing a few of the rides in the group.

I was there a couple of weeks ago and cops were writing tickets to UTV’s leaving the park heading Salvation Mountain direction. A dozen or so cars from Glamis North got popped before the campground started texting us not to go to Salvation Mountain.

We went towards the Bradshaw Trail and Chiriaco Summit instead.

Outstanding trip so far. Let the kid get some seat time. Didn’t know we were going to do a pre-run of the Baja. Almost lost the group.

No, a few miles outside the campground towards Salvation Mountain. Cops were posted up just over a hill popping people left and right. Supposedly there is no true “legal” route from Glamis North to Salvation Mountain because of one section that is off limits to OHV’s.

Yeah, our group leader tried a few routes and then we just shot down. I was wondering when and how much.. We got out clean though

Yeah, super happy with how it came out. Rides great, little quieter up front now that the shock tower is fixed. I think I’ll do the rear ZRP plate or paint the current one next. The radio is awesome. You and @Bpracing1127 were spot on. Wife and kid loved it. It’ll be dialed and ready for the Alamo trip

Wrapped up the trip with breakfast at Sassy’s Outback Cafe. All three meals were pretty damn good.

Quick drive down to see the Salton Sea and then to the bat caves and we loaded up for the ride back.

Great trip overall. Cabins were comfy, not too expensive and had plenty of room for 3-5. The service was better than expected and the owners couldn’t have been nicer. We’ll definitely be back.

Any cliffnotes for the cabin rental? You just stayed in the cabin for the weekend? Brought in your own food for the weekend? Is there restaurants or anything at the resort?

I have never been there and don't have a travel trailer.. This seems like it might be a good option for me.

Any cliffnotes for the cabin rental? You just stayed in the cabin for the weekend? Brought in your own food for the weekend? Is there restaurants or anything at the resort?

I have never been there and don't have a travel trailer.. This seems like it might be a good option for me.

We brought the standard breakfast bars, snacks and uncrustables. The group switched meals each night so we didn’t bring a full dinner. The cafe/store is an all in one deal. Better food than i expected by far. You could get away with eating there daily if you wanted. We’re in the same boat. No trailer, which leaves us to places with hotels or drop trailers to rent.
My wife booked it. Believe it was $200 ish for the weekend. They throw in Sunday night so you don’t feel rushed to get back from the Sunday ride.
