Couple have been seen out there finally. Look way better in person then they do on the Ford website. Anyone have one on order?

35’s look tiny on this thing now. Glad they come stock with 37’s as an option now.

Coils on the rear should be a game changer for the intended purpose of this one

My dad just pulled the trigger on an F150 tremor, I was helping him with the different configurators on the "build your own" part of the website. The Raptors appeared to be pretty well priced. My dad's new tremor stickered at 65k, a similarly optioned Raptor (they are well optioned in the base model) is 67k. I was trying to get him to go for the Raptor but he wanted the slightly better mileage and was worried about the width of the Raptor.

I don’t think so. I’ve got a guy I’ve worked with in the past but they have no allocations left for the 2021 model year. With how delayed these things are to coming out this year I am almost glad I didn’t order. However I am on the list for a 2022 once they are released, and he sells at MSRP, no markup.

Yah, but that doesn’t include the $10k+ they’ll drop on top of the raptor once it hits the lots. Tremor should have much better capacity and towing while getting the torsen front, Raptor t case on the higher end models, and locker in the rear. Going to be a great truck

I’ve got a guy. But I’ve said this before, no tire kickers. He is to busy and to high up and is not a sales guy. You will work with sales but he is the conduit.
you will pay over Msrp for a raptor for a while, like at least a year.

I read somewhere that the 37 package gets you an entirely different frame.

Definitely includes a different tune on the shocks and some different interior things.

It's also more than a 7500 option because it requires you to check the "high" package so for the way I have one built in the website, it's a $12k delta to add the 37s

Copy that, regarding the frame it sounds like they just modified the rear part to fit the spare, you also sacrifice some wheel travel with the factory 37 package:

Skimmed threw the thread. Didn’t see these things addressed.

Few Negitives currently on the 37” package. Well atleast for my extremely picky arse.

First. If you want these wheels and tires, your also getting blue Recaro seats and trim accents. IMPO is Fuly.

Your also paying a chunk of dough for that graphic package, which is unattractive.

From what I’ve read on FRF (Ford Raptor Forums) the change in the frame is to accommodate the larger spare tire.


If you Really want one of these things and are frugal, against paying over sticker..SHOP!
I bought my 2020 just as the way over MSRP was coming back, for there wasn’t supposed to be a 2021. So-Cal dealers are absolutely smoking crack! 10-25 over was common. For me to pay sticker out of state, my local dealers are expensive. A few months prior a sales manager I worked with was doing one at invoice. Should have jumped on it. Honestly not that much front end profit anymore on most cars. a lot more $$ hiding in dealer cash behind the invoice prices.
Was getting my oil changed the other day, they had a 17 or 18 in the light Dove gray with about 50k miles for 85k. Frocking nuts!
I personally think the Gen 2 looks better. Don’t like the new wider grill or the front running lights in the fender flairs. The new interior is bad ass though!
I’m torn….. I can sell mine for a profit right now, ( from a high end boutique dealer in orange county) but wouldn’t do it for another Ecoboost V6! Think I might sell mine and hope to God the 700+ HP V8 Raptor R is release in the next few years. If you want one, and haven’t driven one. You need too. The V6 has to be DRIVEN! They Do have turbo lag, and sound Ridiculous. They sound like a Honda Civic with a 5 inch Coffee can exhaust hanging out the back.
I added a Pedel Commander which does make it rip pretty good.

A Gen 2 V8 would be the hot ticket.

Being wider is a legit concern. Only one of the 4 local car washes will wash my Raptor. Too wide for some of the tracks in the wash. One place comes up and says in very broken English….. We no responsible to any damage to yoo truck, they sometime stuck in wash rack” LoL. That’s a hard no thank you. Bought a foam cannon, do it myself.

Shit. Didn’t see where you mentioned the blue seats. And YES they’re Ugly!

You can bolt on 37” to a reg Raptor…… but the front tires Will rub. Have to install either the Eibach or Icon leveling springs, that will make the truck now sit 1” high in front. Thanks Eibach. Lame!! I ended RR’ing rear springs to Deavers. They have an option to add a inch of lift. This was the best thing I did to mine! Can immediately feel the ride improvement, And it’s already incredibly good.
Should also roll the front fender seem lip. Watched a few DIY’s on YouTube. Petty crud modification. The Stock gearing I’ve read will make it even more sluggish.
Would be great if they offered the 37” package as wheels/tires/ gearing for 3-4K, that would make more sense. For 3-4k I’d be on it.

My boss has one of the first ones coming four our plumbing GM. They are telling us September. He’s also got a raptor R coming for himself. Not date just yet but word is November 🤷🏻‍♂️

Our plumbing GM was just given his today. Bad ass truck for sure. I love my gen2 but the gen 3 is a game changer with the link rear.
Not a huge fan of the graphics but badass truck.

They are actually really capable off-road.

The gen 3 has a link rear with much more travel.

I take mine out all the rime and it’s a stock gen 2.
My install manager has “modified” his slightly with kings 40” Baja TA cage etc.

All of our trucks see considerable duty panting off road thengen 3 will be a cos rant fixture in Glamis this season as well.

That looks really good. I know they work well, and the suspension changes in the Gen 3 will make it work REALLY well. I just don't off road that much.

They aren’t as plush as the seats on my gen2. But didn’t seem bad at all. Honestly didn’t really notice a big difference.

The one thing I noticed was my gen2 is really soft and comfortable in regards to ride. The gen3 is more firm

It is nice that the Raptor finally has competition. The TRX really pushed the Raptor further (TRX has a rear linked coil system). It will be great when they finally reintroduce a V8.

I've got a 18' Gen 2 and even with my old skinny ass have found the seats comfortable for long drives, no problem.
When I'd read that the 37 only came with the Recaros I expressed concern to my neighbor who was desert developing the V8 - 37 at the time. Other Ford test engineers have agreed that not all buyers are going to enjoy a "Sport" seat, the problem is getting those market morons to listen.

Just like our Gen 2's with the front plate restricting the intercooler radiator, which is 100% a marketing esthetics decision despite engineers advising against it. The Arabian export version for the Saudi's has it offset like my 12' EB was. Instead we get a supplement advising to remove it for desert romping. :mad:

Damn, your supers get some nice rides, I haven't even seen a Gen 3 yet 😁

I'll have to quiz the neighbor about the firmer ride, I enjoy the softer ride of my Gen2. Although I'm sure it's been checked --- when I got my Gen 2 the bastards had my tires pumped up to well over 45 psi, truck rode like shit.

Hmmm, wonder if the new 37's are load range "C" like ours, and can be run at lower pressures for improved ride quality ??

It sounds like there may be a difference in shocks between the standard Raptor and the 37" performance package. I don't know for sure it seems a little ambiguous.

I think it's a difference in tune due to increased unsprung weight.

That is what I figured. That will certainly affect the ride, and be stiffer, especially considering that is a performance package.
