Just changed out the chassis battery on our 2022 Holiday Rambler sitting on a 21 Ford F53 22K chassis. Got in, started it up and the fuel gauge now shows no fuel and I have 3 (three) miles to empty! I know for a fact I have just under 1/2 tank.

The coach didnt move or otherwise get wrenched on while the battery was out so I am quite confused what changed.

Any ideas?

the float in the tank could no longer be floating.
fuel gauges work off resistance (ohms)
try to find the wires for the fuel sender close to the tank as possible. if you have a numerical reading that means the floats working and wiring is good up to that point.
after that check wiring at the back of the gauge... open loop typically will show past full so i dont think you have a cut wire. but 0 resistance (closed loop) will usually show full empty. 0 ohms will mean your wires are shorted somewhere along the line.

hope this helps!

Thanks for the ideas. First, no kids that can’t afford their own gas and do value the use of their fingers 🤔, and I did a routine eval of the circuits.

I had tried to reset the cpu but did it again for a much longer time. And it finally reset. All is good. Thanks
