Give my 2 girls Acepromazine (tranquilizer) couple hours before sunset on the 4th but these neighborhood fireworks leading up to the 4th freak them out. Just one can freak them out all night to where they are under my feet every second until bed time. O and if one goes off after bed time the jump on my bedand under the covers:thumbsdown

Doesn't bother ours at all either, she will actually watch them if we take her with us.
I don't know if it will be as bad this year... didn't they they raise the fines upward of 1k

Honestly, I don't care if they did it the day before and after 4th of July. I get it and I used to light a few here and there when I was a kid, but at 1am or 2am to have not one, not two but three M80's go off, it's not cool. It has really been like this for the past 10 nights.

My Black lab could care less. She is not afraid at all. My German Shepherd goes ape shit. I feel bad for her

I just read somewhere that ya should keep the dogs indoors because if they are apt to freak out then they could run away just trying to get away from the noise. My dog will get a benedryl just before dark on Wed. and she will have a calm relaxing night.

One of my German shephards hates the explosions. Got back from parker last night and my back door is destroyed. Im in the Gateway and its like the 4th for 1 month before and 2 weeks after. The shit there lighting makes the gun shots sound like firecrackers. Lat year had them shooting them over my jobsite while it was in framing stage. Have a big rig load of foam forms I will be babysitting so nothing lands on them the 4th

So true. They put lighted signs up on OSO coming into MV last week warning people. I hear the law here gets pretty aggressive if they catch you lighting them.
