So I’m at my local store yesterday , kinda hungry, but didn’t feel like preparing anything . The picture of the food caught my eye , too bad I didn’t have my reading glasses with me , these “ Salisbury Steaks “ are made with some beef , chicken and pork ! And there are no grill marks on the meat . They were inedible . Lesson learned , bring your glasses and do not eat TV dinners !

As I typed this, I remembered I listened to Joe Rogan and he had Will Harris form White oak pastures on, he said meat labeled made in the USA could be imported.

the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) currently allows beef and pork products to be labeled "Product of the USA" or "Made in the USA" as long as it was processed in the U.S. But, as the USDA's current guidelines state, "the 'Product of USA' labeling claim may be applied to meat products derived from animals that have been imported from a foreign country but slaughtered in the United States, as well as to meat products that have been imported from a foreign country and repackaged [...] in the United States."

In college I was broke and eating the cheap mac&cheese, like 4 boxes for $1. I went home for a weekend and my stepmom made me that same cheap shitty mac&cheese. She said she wanted to make my favorite, which must be this since I eat so much of it. Straight face. Thinking back, I think she must have been messing with me, but back then I just assumed she was ditzy.

For frozen dinner, Marie Calendars makes some good stuff. Still sky high in sodium and all the bad shit, but they taste pretty good. If you're at a workplace with a single microwave and a short lunch hour, your coworkers will hate you. They take quite a while to prepare.

cheap mac & cheese was a staple in my early 20's we were living large if we could cut up a hot dog in there too. same with top ramen. the trick is to boil the hot dog with the noodles. and if we are being honest, i still like it, but have moved up to an egg in the top ramen.

.., I have been trying to remember what I lived on in my college days… it was frozen broccoli… But now that I think about it, I ate a lot of I guess it was Kraft, macaroni and cheese… We used to call it kraft dinner… i’m not even sure if top Ramen existed in the mid 60s???.., the highlight was canned Argentinian beef… To go along with a Friday night a little extra money and I’m guessing really good marijuana..,🤷🏽‍♀️ I survived..,
