from baller to runabout

how many of you (and me ) went from big bad ass baller boat with the flames,big stereo,496 ho,custom upholstery etc etc to the little runabout .I did,actually don't miss it much.still gets me and the family to the cove for the day and don't feel bad hitting a rocky beach.just w ondering.

Your new boat is a nice ride as well, just in a different class then the bling barge. Its all about priorities, and as long as you and the family are having good times together and are happy that is all that matters. IMHO.

Got rid of my cat deckboat, my Carrera 270, and I now have the 10' floating fun island I used to tie up behind either one of them:grumble: Not sure I would consider either of them baller buckets tho.........

I look at Bob Teague and think "Baller", Bill Gates looks at him and thinks "cute toys". Status is relative to what others think you have, that they envy. Boats are nothing more than a bucket in the water to throw your money into. But like you said, run what you brung! Happy Family = Great memories!

I sold my Conquest last year and now I have a 12 year old Tige. I really miss being in Havasu a lot and of course my boat, but I don't miss the payments nor the long drives. My Tige sits on Lake Arrowhead through the summers and it's a short walk from my house.

I downsized over the past couple of years to put my boys through college.

Never will be that status, sorry to say the guy I bought my toon from went from a 30ft. Magic Deck boat to a toon, also lost a house in the Caymen Islands, now that is a "change":eek

Went from a Stoker to a 24 pontoon. Better for the family. Priorities. In about 3 years, I see the tooner setting sail down the road for a ride boat. Want to get the kids on skis and wakeboards. Meanwhile, I get to sit in the Stoker and drink beer in it on the occasional night. Thinking about rebuilding the front buckets so they recline.

Sold the Magic Deck with a 525 and got a couple wake edition Seadoo's for the kids to play with. I would like to get rid of the seadoo's and get a Stoker or something similar one day.
