I had one. Looking back i should have kept it
The problem is parts. Which is why i sold it.
I think you can keep them running with some other stuff. When i sold mine you coukdnt.

They are super cool. Considering how long ago they came out they are still pretty relevant as a fun EV.

You will need to MacGyver it when it break.
For free its a 100% yes

Parts are a headache to get and their electric system has a lot of issues, I think one of the big things were the brain is down by the front drive and prone to getting wet, once that happens watch out, I also heard the charging system is a bit screwed up but that can also be changed, MAKE SURE THE CHARGING CORD IS WITH IT WHEN YOU GET IT as well......BUT I think with your abilities I doubt you will have an issue finding fixes for the flaws...

…… I also heard the charging system is a bit screwed up but that can also be changed…….
This for sure. There is a whole procedure that deals with not charging and disconnecting the batteries using a hidden disconnect switch if you are not using daily. Only takes like three days to kill a set of batteries if not doing this. Also don’t tow backwards on a trailer…..lol….tech at work found out the hard way. Window blew out on the freeway. We’ve had three at our work, but only used for tours and they seem to do pretty well.

Well it showed up today. Batteries were beyond dead. Took some batteries I had here and swapped them out and it actually runs and drives. Even has a built in ball washer.

Score.

It's screaming paint me with bass boat metalflake...... dark blue?
It will be orange if it gets painted. Its beater status. It sat outside for god knows how long. They drug it up on the tow truck backwards and the windshield blew out. I see the truck pull up and notice no windshield. I walk out and the shattered glass was on the deck. Lucky it stayed there and not onto another car. Took the mutt for a cruise in it. It tops out at 25 mph. Needs tires bad. I guess it has been sitting since 2007.

I had one for many years it originally came from Newport,I had at the Islander and then shipped it to Florida .....just sold it a week ago. There was a mechanic in Havasu who was trained by Ford to work on Thinks......this was his number 928 505-4540

There’s a reason it’s free. What’s that saying? “The most expensive things you own are the free ones…” Cool it works with a battery swap. Motor, ECU, or any other major parts go out, pitch it in the trash. I’m sure @lake p.a.l. Can provide insight.

Hi, my name is Linda. I live in California and I have a Ford think truck. There was a gentleman here named Bob from Bay golf carts who worked on my think and disassembled the connector were you charge and now I can’t drive it. Do you know anybody in the Bay Area That works on Ford thinks I really don’t want to have to sell it

These are not a golf cart. They’re an NEV also known as in neighborhood electric vehicle and can be licensed in most states. For the most part in California, you can license it. You just can’t drive it on the street with a speed limit above 25 or 35 mph.
