Ford 427 Sideoiler

Looking to part out a fully disassembled 427 sideoiler.

Pulled out of a 87 Campbell Classic 20
V-drive, which is also for sale with more info in the boats/watercraft classifieds.

Bought in June ‘18, motor had been in the boat it’s full life, not sure prior to 87. I was 4th owner and did fluids, filters, impeller, etc. before running in Parker. It had sat in a garage for the last 10 years. Ran fine, good temp and oil pressure, but after a few hours of use noticed some milky oil and ultimately led to pulling the motor out and it being fully disassembled by Dougans Race Engines which revealed the engine had 3 sleeved cyclinders, one of which had a crack, crank has a crack, and a few other gremlins. A lot of good remaining parts and some still with potential for the right application given it’s so rare.

If you are looking for a F.E. 427 I have a complete rebuilt 1963 427 top oiler cross-bolt low riser Number correct dual quad 425 hp engine. Complete from flywheel to water pump air cleaner to pan, it is set up for a 1963 thunderbolt fairlane 1963-4. P.M. for pics and price----It's not cheap as this a collectors item for someone doing a restoration on a fairlane, mustang or COBRA

Nice looking Top Oiler. However, I have a couple of those. Really looking for a another side oiler to replace the one in my Donzi Bench Seat Hornet. So it you still had that engine & / or pieces I may be interested. You can call me at 757.423.2268

Hey sorry for the delay. JD machine in LHC was able to machine and correctly rebuild my motor pictured above. They did a great job and I was able to run the boat a couple times in the fall of 2019. It has sat since. I did an update in the Campbell forum under “fire water”.
