Picked up new smoked tinted flip up wind deflectors today from Jay at OC Boat Windows in Santa Ana for my Daytona 25. $300 for everything, the deflectors, stainless grab handle brackets, mounting hardware, etc, and he completed my order in three days from when I called him. I would post pictures but they are all bubble wrapped up so nicely with all of the hardware, stainless nuts and bolts etc., I didnt want to open it up till I get back to the boat. He has three sizes available and can make them in clear or just about any color of plexi you want.

I have ordered three windshields from Jay and now these deflectors, he is a definite breath of fresh air to the boating industry, especially in the vendor arena of doing plexiglass work. He has just about all of the templates for windshield on popular boats and can do custom work if need be.

Post up some pix once they are mounter or replaced. I have thought about adding these to my 25' Eagle but wasnt sure how they would look.

Thanks

do you just have to drill the holes for the grab handles and bolt them to the boat? Then the deflectors go on the handles?

That's exactly it. I am sure mine are the same, but came from a shop in Havasu. They were a breeze to install.

Do the windshields make a big difference?
I think they do, I know in my boat with my seat height, my head seams to be right in the breeze all the time to the point that my eyes get super dry, red and watery. I think having these would help my situation.

Big enough that I would do it again. Mine sit low and are hidden when not in use, because of that they don’t stick up as far as they should and could be more effective if mounted higher. It was a trade off. I went from hearing nothing but wind to being able to talk and hear when at speed.

Well, I can be the judge of that , next time we go out. DS[emoji202]

These are a great addition and make a huge improvement.
The only issue I have is at higher speeds they will fall down. I've tightened as tight as they will go and same issue.
Anyone have a trick to help them stay up? I still want to be able to push them down at cruising speeds as well.
Mine are older so maybe I need new plastic clamps??

Mine did that at first, but I was able to tighten them enough. Once you get the clamps exactly where you want them, mark the bars and add a layer or two of electrical tape. The only other idea I have is to machine new aluminum blocks with holes for o-rings.

I'm still looking for a way to do this without the grab rails. Some kind of small bracket so they can be removed.
