What is everybody using for a Tow behind vehicle behind a motorhome? Don't want to use a tow dolley or do the driveline disconnect deal if possible.

I towed my 1500 Silverado. I liked the extra storage for bikes, bbq’s, surfboards etc...

I've liked the idea of a crew cab Colorado/Canyon for a toad. The 4wd versions can be flat towed without disconnecting anything. You can get a ZR2 and have a damn fun toad as well.

Ram 2500/3500 can disconnect the driveline electronically in the cab.

I was worried about the weight trying to tow my 2500hd but I think I might go that route. Picked up a beater acura mdx ready to tow but the car is nickel and diming me I am about over it just to use it as a tow vehicle

In my own mind if I'm touring around our country and visiting sights, state and federal parks or whatever a small, maneuverable vehicle makes the most sense. Easy parking, economical and low initial cost.

What type of motorhome are we talking about here? Thinking you might struggle pulling a 2500hd with a V-10 powered rig over a diesel pusher.

I've got a 16 Canyon diesel for my toad.... all the comforts plus it will pull the boat, actually pretty effortless for a 4 banger

Tow it 4 down as long as you got 4x4 with neutral

True, Yeeps are probably the most popular toads.... but I need a tow vehicle as well as a toad, and I'm partial to trucks

The motorhome is a class A gasser 8.1 workhorse chassis

I tow either my cummins ramcharger, or my 2500 cummins behind my 8.1, does fine.

I used to tow a grand Cherokee, jeep tj, or samurai behind it as well. The lighter vehicles did tow “better”, not really from a power perspective, you can just feel the bigger 7-8k lb toads a lot more.
