She's now a politician, proposed an amendment to allow Mr Putin to rule beyond 2024.
The ex-cosmonaut proposed either scrapping presidential term limits or amending the Russian Constitution to let Mr Putin run again.
A series of constitutional amendments are going to a nationwide vote on April 22.
Mr Putin spoke against scrapping term limits, but backed the idea of revising the ceiling.. wondering if Biden got this message?

In the mid-90’s, I attended a conference in France sponsored by Essilor, an optical lens manufacturer. One of the highlights was an interview (translated on our headsets) with 3 Russian cosmonauts, one of whom was a woman. The male cosmonauts were making jokes about her purpose on the mission being to satisfy their sexual needs. I’m sure that wasn’t the case, and she sure as hell was uncomfortable with the joking. It was a bizarre moment, seeing someone subjected to that in front of several hundred people. In the U.S., a team of lawyers would have been onsite in no time!
Her name is Yelena Kondakova. I gotta respect anyone who qualifies for space travel.
