I would venture a guess that the Garwood "Speedster" AKA Gentleman's Runabout Racer, is most likely one of the numerous wood replicas built by various builders post Garwood era. Two as an examples are, Gar Wood Custom Boats and Wellington. The original Garwood 16' Speedsters still in existence are well documented and can be easily counted on one hand less the thumb.

The History of Garwood boats and their dominance of the Gold Cup Circuit and battle with the APBA is cool reading for boat heads.
