So a fire started up here around 1130 we a r e in the evacuation area but its not mandatory yet im hearing traffic in town is gridlock

This thing has gone from 5 acres to 200 very quickly

Based on them canceling units and the Alert California Cameras showing very little smoke, you should be out of harms way in Ramona area.

We have a 1acre fire burning up here in North County area as well. Looks like slow rate of spread so hopefully it's out soon. Fire season is coming.

Got it stopped 1/2 acre or less, but the question is --- what the hell is going on up there, that's about the 3rd or 4th one in the past month and a half up around Gopher Canyon ?????
Just like Valley Center / Lilac, Cole Grade road, far to many small fires of late, which = all holy hell breaking out in a fall wind event.

No question we've got a lot of grass by the road edges, seems they no longer bother to mow it or whack it like they did years ago.
Guess all that fire money they're taxing us for is for pamphlet's and booths at the fair --- beats me.

Any one cause sticking out --- like morons doing dumb-ass things, or TCs ?

Its looking like they hot this not seeing any smoke but it is a little breezey and helps stop flying at dark so hopefully they have it knocked down before dark

The air assets went home, there's no birds, even spotters, over that fire any longer. That watch duty website is an awesome resource for fire information and updates. That along with the Alert California provides some great arm chair coverage you won't get from main stream media.

The Ramona fire is 1/2 mile from my buddies house. WAY too close !!!

We offered to take in a couple and there guest and there 6 dogs. They called said they were on the way then said they would be ok and never showed up

we were flying back from Nashville and got the alerts when we landed in Houston. Sounds like we’re not too far from each other.

Speaking of fires down south.
witnessed this lil diddy today. Bankers Hill San Diego
trash truck picked up a load with something flammable / burning. Smoke pouring out, he hot lapped it into the parking lot of park across the street, dumped entire load and up it went. No one hurt no property loss, Made for a semi entertaining lunch break.

Don't know, nothing actively showing other than the Rock Fire in Perris, but it's been handled.
