In high school, my kid got hauled off the field with a group of other boys. ratted out by some girl said they were smoking pot or something. Whether they were not is not the point.

Kids were sitting in the office goofing around and lipping off waiting for the principal or something. My kid was sitting there with his head hanging down, crying counselor ask what’s wrong. All he could say was
“ my Dad”.

Our family picked up some respect at that school that day.

I know that Tommy, that's why I said earlier only a punk runs his mouth when he feels safe, if he didn't feel he could get away with it I doubt he would have said a word.
As you know on fishing boats tensions get real in a hurry, I'm seeing Kids talk to officers in a manner you wouldn't have seen 20 years ago.
