Negative 16, Thats not just "cold"...that's Brutal. cold! Its 26 here in Boise and I am frozen to the bone. My So. Cal sissy skin can't handle the cold anymore- gimmie 80 degrees any day.

Believe it or not, it's not that bad......until the wind kicks up.

People around here brag about the frozen tundra, but everything is shut down for two days because it's cold. I have appointments all day tomorrow and some people are shocked. Grab a scarf and strap a nut on.

It was freezing here today, specially at night. Had to put on my winter coat today. 🙁

The mail carrier at my shop wears shorts everyday. No vehicle, walks the route.

Winter of 13-14 there was a 6 week stretch where the daily high temp did not go above 0⁰F. Shorts. Every damn day.

Woman I know from school wears open toe flip flops every day. No socks, foot of snow, flip flops.

I don't trust either one of them.

We were in Boise all weekend for my daughter’s 21st Bday. Wasn’t sure my pansy ass could deal with the cold but wasn’t as bad as I thought. Went to Kirkham hot springs Saturday. 16 outside and 100 in the water. Badass.

Buddy of mine just moved back to his home town in Illinois from Vegas. Sent me the current weather for his first full weekend back. 2 words, F#CK that!

We now have to much winter. I have ran out of room. It can stick around for 4 weeks, then melt.

@caribbean20 , I've been meaning to ask you, no issues with keeping the water tubing of your hottub warm when it gets really cold? I know it's not constantly circulating, so I've wondered about this. We didn't have any issues in Reno, but it rarely got into the single digits. It was -28 for a couple of days on our deck in Montana last year. Maybe that's a silly question, IDK.

Good question. All of the tubes on this unit are inside an insulated housing, which of course sit next to a big tub of 104 degree water. Even when this unit goes into sleep mode, it kicks on intermittently to circulate the water to keep it at a set minimum temperature.

We’ve seen below zero temps here already this winter. During non-winter months I will drain the unit and shut it down for extended periods. Can’t do that in winter as some water stays in the pipes and can’t risk freezing.

Anyway, I’m no expert but that’s my story and I’m sticking with it😁. Hope all is going well in beautiful Montana!
