I have found some issues with the fiberglass exhaust tubes in the Eliminator Comp Ski. They are leaking and I have tried to repair them to no avail, seems like they are seeping at several areas. I tried glassing them in the areas I knew were leaking only to have other areas show leaks. I have purchased all of the hoses and stainless tube to change everything out, it's nice having Summit in my backyard. I will be doing this prior to the trip down to Havasu. We are leaving early am tomorrow. I just wanted some opinions on if this is a smart choice or should I look into getting all new fiberglass parts? I though about wrapping the stainless in the exhaust wrap also to ensure no heat issues through the floor or in the bilge. This is a wet exhaust system so heat really shouldn't be a issue.

Thoughts?

No problem doing that, my Tige wake boat had the same issue, and once they leak repairing them doesnt do much. I pulled them and had the following company make me some stainless steel exhaust with baffles in them. Not a problem since.

Thanks for the response, I figured I was on the right path just wanted confirmation for peace of mind.

Since I'm out of time to have the pieces welded up I'm just doing this to ease my mind of being on the water all day and running up and down river. I will probably buy more tubing and have my buddy weld everything once I have more time. That will minimize the hose connections.

I don't see a problem doing this either. With as much water is pushed thru them, I don't even think the wrap is needed.

Looks good to me. I'm not far behind on the replacement. I patched a couple leaks last year, and I'm sure there's more to come.

Yeah I patched twice and got frustrated with it. Started researching what I could do and this was the end result. It works and was an easy fix for the most part.
