Ok it was a little more like winter, but had to share because this was one of the most scenic, beautiful waterways I’ve ever boated on. Got to meet some new people and some super nice hardware. I’ve got a bunch of raw video to edit, but will post it up when I’m done.

Watts Bar on Nickajack? I absolutely love it down there and hopefully will be relocated in a couple years.

Yep we went from Hales Bar to Downtown Chattanooga for lunch then back. That last picture is right in front of I-24, really cool running side by side with the traffic on the freeway, they got a little show

I basically grew up on Watts Bar. Beautiful country especially in the fall colors. Look forward to seeing some video footage once posted.

That is some beautiful boating, but Watts Bar is the worst marina I can remember, and there was no bar when I was there this summer.
Looking forward to the vids. Thanks for sharing.

Originally from Southern California. Military moves me around all over the place, but I live in Jacksonville FL now. I store my boat and use it mostly around the greater Atlanta area.

Next time we haul our boat back to Tenn. We want to boat more on the Tenn river.
The Tennessee is a beautiful river with plenty of accommodations for an extended trip, weather you sleep aboard or at local hotels. We just finished (August) a 750 mile water trip from Chattanooga to Nashville 8 days. Basically the majority of the Tennessee and the Cumberland. The real beauty of this trip is you finish 165 miles by land from start point. Both end points are $20 Uber ride from airports to get a rental car to re-unite boat/truck/trailer. An un believable trip!!

Buddy lives in Collirville just east of Memphis. Runs a big Cigarette on Pickwick and the river. We may head out and stay with him for Spring Break. I've never spent much time in that area and would love to go hang out. It's absolutely beautiful area.

The Riverbend Brewery in Chattanooga has some awesome food and all their own beers. Great place.

Pic Wic is great, boated there once, plan on doing it again. Would like to try the area of Land between the Lakes and Chattanooga also. So much to see and boat in Tennesee.

That is part of the original dam infrastructure. Constructed I believe pre TVA. They could never get it to stop leaking and subsequently rebuilt the dam and lock system on Nickajack (about 5 miles up river) and dismantled this dam structure.. Interesting, almost haunted looking structure.

beat me to it.

Looked like a lot of good restaurants and really cool downtown area right on the water. I want to do some more boating around there.

TN is one beautiful state and many outsiders don't realize the amount of great boating available.

Had friends that cruised from Chattanooga to Knoxville for TN games. Volunteer Navyfleet is one helluva a party below the stadium bluffs.....

Great video! I'm glad you all had a good time!

The section you ran is my favorite part of the river. Are you planning to do the run again next year?

Hopefully! Depends on work schedule but if I’m home, then I plan on it.

When I was with Boeing they moved the delta rocket composite work to Iuka MS which is on Pickwick lake. An engineer there lived on the lake and his wife would pick us up at lunch in the boat and we would go ski the Tom Bigbee(sp) then go back to work. It is definitely a cool area to boat in.

I guess there are powerboats down there too. I have been checking out the lakes around Nashville and Ive only been seeing pictures of RollBar boats and Pontoons. We are headed out there next week to check out some area and check out downtown, possibly drive out to Center Hill Lake. If we move maybe I can keep the Hallett after all!
