So it looks like I may have my Super Duty sold and I am most likely going to get into a 2019 - 2021 F150. Hoping I can find a long box but won't be a deal killer.

Want to do a lift, wheels and tires on it so wondering what you guys have done to yours and cost for everything.

Want to see some pics!!

Don't do a "lift"

do upper control arms from a good company. Baja kits, dirt king , camburg, etc paired with some 2.5" coilovers/rear shocks with a 2' block or leafs.

Throw some take off raptor wheels/tires on the thing. It will ride 10x better than a cheaper lift and actually work offroad.

This.. mostly. If 4wd it’s already got a block in the back. Leave it stock height in the rear. You are going to get another 1.5” lift from the bigger tires if you go 35”s I like the rear lift block pulled personally, but with coilovers up front you can adjust the front for either.

Level it out with King coilovers, and rear shocks. if you aren’t gonna tow more than the boat, you can get a softer rear leaf spring.

Run 34-35” tires.

It will ride better than a Raptor on the road with King coilovers and new rear leafs. It will still ride nice with stock rear leaf springs.

Or if you like the ride as is, put 33”-35s”on it and level the truck with a 2” front lift spacer and pull the rear lift block. 35”s will fit, you may need to do slight trimming depending on wheel offset.

This is a 4wd, with no rear lift block, leveled with a 1 inch front lift on 35”s.

If you like this look, aside from wheels and tires you can attain it between from $100 in parts and maintain the stock ride all the way to $4000 with 2.5” Kings and Deaver springs 😂.

Lots of options in between. Just depends hon how high you want to go.

2020 long box 6 inch lift. Fox 2.5 on the front 2.0 on the back icon billet upper control arms. Truck rides really nice. Back is pretty stiff because of the max tow package. It rides really nice in the dirt at speed. I love this truck. 3.5 eco boost. 35 12.50 tires.

Baja kits will probably have a good black Friday sale. Regardless of company I would be looking to buy when the sales hit. (shocks never go on sale)

If you lived out here Ashley and I could have this installed in a couple hours.:D

No spacers just coil overs. I'm probably over invested in my truck but it's what I wanted. Probably like 8500 in it all in.

My truck on the freeway will pull 14.5 MPG but I drive it like stole it and didn't buy a long box full size 4 wheel drive for gas mileage. The truck pulls the dune buggy and toys to the dirt and cruises everywhere off road. Snow, mud, sand, rocks. I don't beat it off road but I definitely wheel it. With the 6 inch lift on the long box and 35's it is sure footed everywhere in my opinion. Tows my 29 foot travel trailer with ease.

I would want to go a little higher in the front and back. Thinking a 4" on 35's would be perfect and should fit in my garage.

Check out the Cognito 2.5" Performance Leveling kit, should be able to fit 35's with maybe cutting crash bars but it shouldn't effect your warranty. if you go 4" it will most likely effect it. Readylift has a 3 and 3.5 also they just don't have the coilovers. Message me if you have any questions..

I got the mid life crisis package. 6inch lift on 37’s. Rides good but it’s stiffer than some of the coilover stuff but I tow with it a lot so it’s got airbags etc so it doesn't sag.

My daughter did a 4” BDS lift with Fox coil overs with 18” method and 35 Toyos. Extremely happy, no rub and rides better than stock. Probably do 17” wheels if she did it again.

How do you like the 37's did you re gear? I'm thinking 37's
I love the 37’s because it’s different. Probably 95% of lifted f150’s on the road are 4” lift on 35’s. I have not regeared but I probably should.

Check it out. Icon makes a lift that will get you to 4” without the frame crossmember drop bracket. The lift is in the spindle and it works with 4x4. This is the route I would go for that much lift.

I have a 2023 f150 with the 5.0 and it’s my favorite truck I have ever owned. You are going to love it.

I'm 6 inch with 17 35 12.50 and still have great power but I've been thinking about 37 thanks for the info.

But seriously, lift kits and big tires kill gas mileage. That plus sleepy Joe's gas prices makes me.want a lowered vehicle

My Personal truck basically sits except for weekends. My company truck is my daily. Gas mileage isn't really a thought for me personally. But it's definitely not cheap to fill up with a 36 gallon tank and I all I run in my truck is super. But every time I see my truck I always smile. Every time drive it I am a really happy man.

Icon doesn’t do spindles, Stage 3 makes kits, not saying good or bad just that it’s not a full Icon kit.

I'm done with 150s being leveled.
Nobody can balance 35s....I mean fuckin nobody.
The 150 is to sensitive for 35s. You will feel the slightest shake.
My next truck is staying stock
I have experienced no problems with the balance on my Raptor on either set of OEM BFG 35s since new. Is the front end geometry less sensitive.
I appreciate the insight, since I was considering front level and 35s for a 2024 should we choose a non-Raptor version.

He’s referencing a problem with wheel balance, not the truck itself. There are tens of thousands of standard F150s running around on 35 inch tires.

Seems he's implying the F150 is overly sensitive to out of balance tires and he's had negative experiences running them.
My only negative about going with 35s is sacrificing economy, slowing acceleration and increasing braking distances for appearance sake.
Oddly, in this case it's more my wife's idea if we get a conventional F150. 😁

Set of toyos AT3's, 2 wouldn't balance and were replaced
Ok for a bit. I have them rotated, not balanced.
Then they were out.
Road forced 4 times, 2 states.
All 4 were replaced.
Road forced, 2 needed to be spun. Still horrible.
Switched to nittos, Road forced, 2 spun on wheel.
Horrible
Took it to ford to check out truck. No issues.
Dealer roadforced and got them close. They spent 4 hours getting them as close as possible. I can still feel one is out.

It's just not worth it. I had 3 sets of tires, bought new methods chasing the problems. All in 3 months

3 different Big O dealers had their hands on them. 1 discount tire.
Ford temecula got it after 4 hours trying.

Everyone must be ok with slight skake. I guess I'm not.

Must be an F150 thing. 35” AT3s, Nittos, and now Coopers on my Ram 3500 are smooth as silk when new and balanced. Typically rotate and re-balance every 3-7k depending on use and wear. When they get to 1/4 tread remaining they start to get a little vibration. Now, the (new) BFG KM3s on my GX470 vibrate like crazy, but I expect that from an aggressive tread pattern.

Edit: Did you try changing the wheels?

The truck is fine. If there was a problem you’d hear them screaming about it on the F150 forums. Those guys complain more than RDP members.

What has always made me tentative with forum member provided info, be it on the Ford forums, Camaro 5, or even RDP, is human nature.

That nature being an apparent reluctance to admit after having spent gobs of $$$ on some upgrade, discovering that the results did not meet the expectations, and negatives others hadn't bothered to mention.

But yes, you are correct, if the issue can be blamed on Ford, GMC, or Ram, the public must be forewarned as it probably affects millions, and nobody wants to believe it's only their own.

My son refuses to maintain a stock ride height and reasonable highway tires on any truck he's ever owned. Spends gobs of money making it difficult for anybody with less than gymnastic ability to get in or out, and insists on running tires that require 1,000 watts of amp power to compete with the roar.
But, those I've come to understand are just minor details, cuz it friggin looks cool I'm told. 🤷‍♂️

Yesterday daughter and I launched the truck through some whoops on the way to my buddies house way out on a dirt road. It ate it up and was almost cadillac like🤣 she giggled all the way. Climbed over some really good rock formations and generally had a blast. Only thing I will say about the f150 is the body is not really repairable enough. My buddies f150 got a couple dents while wheeling aluminum body kinda sucks in that aspect.

Also my toyo tires suck for airing down to play on the rocks. Sidewalls are thin. Definitely use a different tire next time. Great tire in every other aspect so far.

Wow I stand corrected my bad and I went on the site before posting to make sure and must have missed it! Haha I apologize! those must be their first ones since we have been selling Icon and that would be a perfect option.

So thanks to the power of RDP I was able to come across this unicorn 2014 F150 Lariat 4x4 with 63k miles, always garaged and meticulously maintained. Really appreciate @GETBOATS for contacting me about it. I really wanted a newer body style but can't pass up something that has been treated so well. I haven't seen it in person yet, but from all the pics and videos, it is beautiful.

I am on a budget to get it looking more aggressive so thinking a 3" Ready Lift SST and some 34's will do the trick. Anyone have this model with a Ready Lift or any other lift??

Open to any other suggestions as I am trying to do the lift, wheels and tires under $5k.
