So i try and buy american whenever i can even if it costs more like a lot of people, well it was time for a new floor jack and looking at reviews of the badlands ( harbor freight) jack and the Pro eagle. Badlands is half the price but comparable in quality from everything i saw,
Screw it bite the bullet and decided to get the Pro Eagle
Feel better about it until with a little research ( probably should have done that before hand) Pro eagle is fucking made in china also..
Granted the Pro Eagle is a USA company ( but so is Harbor Freight)

My Pro Eagle sux. My Badlands works great, so good I’m using a coupon and buying another one to keep in the trailer.
I always try to buy USA, but like you found out a lot is made in China under guise of an American company. Due diligence is in order.

years ago….
before my father passed away…

I was trying to tell him that Toyota was more american than GM/FORD… He was not buying that bullshit what so ever….

Until, I started sharing the facts…

You dont know, until you do your own research.. that takes time…
Which most dont have… I get it…
we have all been bit in the ass …

But I did just buy this a few nights ago… when the coupon hit… Needed it to jack up my RZR… to install the new springs…
No… I did not get the extended warranty… like $60 for one year and $88 for 2 I think…
I am living on the edge….. party on garth…

Pisses me off how companies play games with the made in America stuff. Assembled in America, American owned, or flat out lie when shits made in China.

The say 2 out of 3 items in everyone’s house is made in China. Fuckin crazy. We built that country and now support them 100% with our consumer needs. Big tech pushes the agenda.

I see/hear a lot of good responses from those who've bought the HF jacks. I don't have any, but have put some miles on a Pittsburgh portable engine hoist. That sucker hasn't failed me one time!!

I'm holding on to my old Craftsman aluminum jacks for as long as I can! I bought the first one about 25 years ago and the seals wore out. I held onto it and just tucked it away in the garage and bought a second one. I still have both. Now, if I could find a place to rebuild/replace the seals in the ram on my oldest Craftsman jack.....I'd have two beauties!

I also have the Craftsman aluminum jack and had considered making a mount for that to put in the back of the truck but figured it was better to get one of the new jacks.

I can personally guarantee that every header made by Hedman is 100% made here in the US. If you are ever in Whittier, CA just hit me up and I will give you the tour myself.
Do they make headers that will fit a 1989 chevy 3500 4x4 with a 454? if so i need a set

Try Lazzar's at 562 596-5477 or online at hcrnow.com. I refused to throw out my Grandpa's old floor jack. He bought that thing from Monkey Wards in the 70's. Hoping he didn't pay by the pound because that thing is heavy AF.

Looks like this place sells some Made in USA floor jacks. Going to cost you $$$ though.

I try to buy American. Easy to do if the USA item is say $60 compared to $30 for China part. Hard to do when the price is $1000 USA made compared to $200 China made.

I shudder to say it The Chinese are getting better despite my Mantra about using only US made and sourced < I just found out Wieand Manifolds are actually made in China ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, from Jurassic Park about dinosaurs:

"They were testing the fences for weaknesses, systematically. They remember."

These brands get sold off the investment firms and they move everything off shore to increase the bottom line. It is really sad at SEMA and PRI how many once great brands are shells of themselves because of this. Holley owning damn near everyone is not good for the industry. Lucky we are still a family owned business and I hope it stays that way until I die or retire whichever comes first.

We are as well (All Family) My parts are either US made and my raw materials US sourced , My foundry is in the US and all my contracted CNC and Engine work is US done BUT My 2 largest competitors are have impellers and shafts and castings made "off shore" and still charging as if they were Us Made

Accurate has been my "Go-to" reel for years! I have far too many, but that's OK. 🤣 I broke down a few years ago when the Shimano Tranx first came out, and snagged one of those "Just because." 👍

Whittier Skateland
Farmer Dell
I had birthday parties at Skateland, Mom said she remembers having birthday parties when she was in elementary school (1950's). Farmer Dell's was close, Down the road a little was the drive inn.

Thread Derail. I'll quit now.

I dig the Accurate stuff . . . industrial strength & Made in 🇺🇸 👍
I've been tempted to get one of their 'Tern' star drag reels for surface iron . . . but I don't fish for the big stuff enough to justify it.
If I fished for 'real fish' instead of always fooling around with stupid little bass, I'd have a quiver of Accurates for sure.
I have a pair of their Piranha Pliers an X-Girlfriend gifted me MANY years ago . . . I broke the jaws misusing them last year.
I almost threw them in the trash since that model is no longer made . . . but I decided to call down there and see if by chance they had an extra set of jaws laying around.
Sure enough they did ! . . . they sent them to me for free, and even included a pair of the replaceable carbide line cutter inserts as well.
Gotta Love That !

Buying American Made is all about the feels.

You feel good cause your supporting the mom and pops, the American worker, dance lessons for the littles.

Until one day, you take your family to the Nixon Library and pick up a coffee mug with an American Flag on it. Stamped right on the bottom.....Made in Chyna.

Yup. Completely mind fucked me.

I bought my first Accurate reel several decades ago. The first one I bought new was a Boss 270 single speed that I paired with a custom wrapped 7' Calstar 270. That is probably the perfect setup for anything along the West Coast from bass on up to yellowtail and dorado. I've also enjoyed my 8' Calstar 197/Accurate 196 combination and have boated plenty of fish with that setup! I keep an eye on eBay and Craigslist and scoop them up whenever I see them listed for a reasonable amount. 👍

WTF? All that Milwaukee stuff you have and have had a wet asshole for is made in China.
Really? wow not sure what prompted such a condescending response, but yes spending twice as much for something thinking it was American made pissed me off. FYI The Milwaukee packout cases are not made in China, and they list on there stuff where it is made, and yes they do make a lot of things in china as well as USA . nowhere on Pro Eagle do they show that i see.
