This is a 525 boat that sank at Lake Pleasant. I was told he hit a submerged log.

The add says rollover or collision..... Most boats would tear up from a bad rollover or collision. I would not consider this delam from normal use such as the recent ultras.... But if you throw dog shit at a fan some it might stick.

Is it really worth the minimum bid of $40K?

I would imagine the trailer is worth $5K+ used (Maybe $10K new?). That leaves $30K for the boat.

The photo doesn't come up for me. Does it have twins, or something? I assume the hull is worthless.

That boat did not ROLLOVER! Trust me I LOVE DCB's! They had to of hit something pretty hard to cause this. Not just a LOG like in the previous post. The Ultras that are delamming DEFINITELY have issues and were not built right. No argument there!

If it was a delam issue you would think it would be sitting at Daves Shop. It surprises me how quick the insurance company is offering it for sale. The accident was fairly recent. On another note, no way would the insurance company pay a claim on a delimitation issue when they have a claim of over 220k, I'd be willing to bet they had their top marine surveyor all over that boat.

I can care less about dcb's. I know of one that delammed, but post the real story if you have it as I was under the impression this hit something....If it was manufacture defect I would think the insurance company would be going after manufacture.

Relax man I just posted the link just like others do!! Dont have any other details just what it says. It says it sank DUE TO PANEL FAILURE! That is all
I read and it shows. If this boat rolled there would be MORE damage and I am sure we all would of heard about it!

Have you seen this boat in the state it is? Curious if it would be worth the purchase and to have repaired? Thought maybe you would know since you are local out there?

The last photo shows absolute signs of delam. Who knows what caused it.

I saw pictures only, he beached it on the rocks when he started taking on water, I'm sure that caused more damage but saved the boat at the same time. If I can get an address I'll go look at it tomorrow.

I don't know how repairable it is but Froggy did a nice repair on an Eliminator that worked out well, as I recall. I don't think the cost was even all that bad.

This could be a steal for someone.

How much work are those 525s are going to need after being submerged? I hope someone has flushed them, replaced the fluids, and got them running since the bath. ... but I assume not.

It says they were drained and filled with diesel......... that's all that's been done.

My understanding was it hit something from folks there who talked to the owner....he also beached it when he noticed it was taking on water....thought there was a video of it and you can see there is debris on the beach as there was in the water.

I am relaxed but thought it was funny an ultra owner was calling out a delaminating boat. :)

If you were truly interested in it being a good deal, why wouldn't the thread be titled "is this a good deal'? :)

Just fockin with ya...:)

True and also a F32 with 525's is way underpowered IMO....This boat would take alot of work, but for the person that has the time and patience to get it done it may work for them.

Way under powered? :blah: I guess thats a generalization, I dont think anyboat that will roll over on plane quickly and run over 100mph is "way underpowered" Can a 32 be set up with easily double this power and safely run in the mid 150's sure but I wouldnt call a 32' 100mph boat way under powered.

Strange story. Pretty underpowered boat, odd that something that catastrophic could happen, he must have hit something pretty big and then it pealed back would be my guess.

Dam that was quick. Guy was at the SAG a few months back. Said he had a Warlock previous to this DCB. Sucks. Dam shame. The boat was / still may be a awesome boat.

Unsure of his name. I had a few PBRs in me. But I remember he had more than a few cigar burns on him. Kinda like he had them done on purpose. A guy who was with him called it branding...

The owner also said something about going through engines with the Warlock.

Too bad they didn't laminate it with Dave's Hair Gel. Would have lasted forever.

Thx for the compliments on the "nice boat", bought it brand new when I was 31. The boat delaminated from a struck object at Lake Pleasant...same lake I've been boating for the last 25 years. Doing around 80 when it happened, the boat never did roll, just the starboard sponson dug in and immediately stopped the boat. Just thankful all four passengers were ok! Tried saving the boat but vessel assist did very little...I'll just keep it at that. The boat had whipple ecu and herring five blades. I've seen 115.6 on gps and 110 all day with four passengers..only time the hatch came open was for oil changes. The boat is repairable as per Dave. Has every option available. Trailer is fully loaded with kmc monster 20".

The pic you saw was as deep as it went, motors didn't get pickled for a month, so they need to be torn down. Tryed getting ahold of the boat the day it got put in the trailer, but vessel assist put a salvage title on it and I was S.O.L, not to mention the bill was 20 grand

You must be new to the Forum. Here is the post that the DCB "cool Aid" drinkers wanted to see..

"WOW look at this great price on a 32 DCB, probably one of the fastest boats ever build with Training Wheels. Someone, (probably a Skater Owner or MTI Owner) must have planted a BOMB in the boat to cause the hull failure because we all know that DCB's are the fastest, safest, best constrcuted, best handling boats on the planet with the oh so prettiest accessories. I bet the Owner can't sleep or even go out in the daylight any more since the anchor to his/her EGO sank..."

I am suprised you can type with Hledin's dick in your mouth....guess Skater owners can walk and chew gum too.
