I started going to Parker in the early 70s. Stayed at the 2 story cabana at the southernmost end at Blue water. The flat sused to go out and race at the crack of dawn:thumbsup. The flatty guys would be? pissed because cause we would go skiing in the spectra ....and rough up the water. My parents and their friends used to party hard and get up and take us kids skiing on the glass. Asshole or not I will be doing hot laps early tomorrow...

I love the sound of an open header big block breaking the early morning silence. Nothing like it. If you live near the water its par for the course. I hate people that live near a known hot boat area that complain about noise. Fock em . :skull

I do, but I don't get up early with you blue hairs! lol By the time I make it to the water you're already passed out. :D:drnkfr :D

I'm not fast, but I've got you covered (barely and on smooth water). :champagne:

Valve springs are stale here so it won't rev...

Focus on Riverland. They like the wake-up call there.

I love waking up to someone getting it on the morning glass. I too grew up on the strip in the 70's and also loved sitting on our dock and watching the sunset drags out front..Just awesome.

Straight From the Bar I am in!!

Loud pipes save lives.

Amen brother!

That is one thing I really miss, is the races at the end of the day. Seems no one wants to do that anymore. Lost Lakes was almost better than Parker for that.

So where are the pics/vids from this morning?? Someone forget to wake up?? :D

I used to be the "Wake up" guy at Sand Mountain.
When the wind would blow at night I'd wake up at dawn, roll the rail out of the trailer then get it rolling down the hill from camp tot he base of the mountain, coasting quietly past all the camps that had been partying all night.
Then, when about 20 yards from the last camp, fire up the uncorked 368, letting the 12.5 to 1 small block breathe the fresh mountain air, and send race gas fumes through the camp...then, once warmed up, make a run at that long, steep smooth 650 tall pile of sand, spinning it up to about 7500 before the top came up all too quickly...and I'd lift, turn, let it set and make another run...out there for 35-40 minutes before I knew it.
Sometimes, by the time I came back, idling in, the rail had sent the call of another day to camps, and people would give me the thumbs up as they stood by their smoldering fires drinking coffee.
I always knew it was going to be a good day when I pulled in to our camp, and smelled bacon frying in the motor home, and saw Cindy stick her head out the door with a big smile on her face and a cup of coffee in her hand for me.

Ya can't expect people to come to the river and bring the toys they love to sleep in on the best part of the day. And I agree, there is nothing on this earth like a happy engine singing it's song early in the morning...

back in the day the hot boats came out early morning for the glass and some racing but would come off the water till about 5 in the afternoon, if you camped around La Paz you could hear em coming out to play from Movalya area, people would get off the water and watch racing, even the jet skis gave em a break, just something you missed if you didn't get to the river back then :skull and alot more of this

Got to the launch ramp about 700., no fuel pressure :grumble: fortunately I had a rebuild kit for my fuel pump and was on the water by noon.

I love your boat man and the Ford power is awesome, but I gotta say.... it's really not very loud. :(

This jack wagon would wake me up every morning, after a dozen tickets or so he finally gave up. :D

We were always first up in the 80s and 90s at Moonridge.

1st person beach started at the Moonridge ramp, turned at the Dam and dropped at River Lodge. From there is was one round trip after another from River lodge to the Dam.

Breakfast over looking the river never taste better after a morning like that..:thumbsup.

Waking up to the sound of someone's boat is one of my favorite things about the river.

Love the sounds of a healthy sounding v8 in the early morning.Esp a quick hi revving boat.If its popping and sounding like crap then put it away!!

If its a v8 sounding like its like its bogging wide open from a mile aways its just so brokeback
