The dust last weekend was at times zero visibility. Seriuosly, couldnt see past the hood.
My goggles were getting dust inside, they are oakleys. What brand works best for you?
Next. My half lexan/acrylic windshield was not helping.
What do you use to keep dust from sticking? Ive heard pledge.

Last, im not getting helmets with air, so no need for that suggestion

Cheers

I don’t think you will find any product that will effectively aid in reducing the dust on a poly windshield. Glass is the way to go. I’ve had customers report even better glass performance by using rain x or ceramic coating.

Glass, Glass, Glass. Any sort of plastic windshield is the worst option.

Glass is the ticket! I use rain ex multiple coats, and a microfiber towel & dust off both sides on every stop.

Oakley Sand goggles work good for me and the wife, try different lenses clear at night and different tints during the day

0h maybe try not hauling ass right behind the guy in Frt of you, Do you think your driving a speed car?

I feel like glass helps because of how the surface interacts with the dust and because it makes me scared to catch a rock and I stay farther back 🤣

Time to spend more money. Glass windshield, fresh goggles, leave more space.

You are always gonna get a little Dustin the goggles. The foam breaks down over time too.

I like Havoc goggles, the make some with snap in magnetic lenses too. Super easy to clean and you don’t have to carry multiple goggles for day and night, just pop in a clear lens for night rides.

I’m curious to know why your anti race air? Probably the best upgrade I did on our RZR.

Ditch the Lexan it’s a dust magnet no matter what you apply on it. Go Glass or nothing at all.

Helmets with air. I hate windshields for this reason.

Any of you guys have this brand or know if it's decent? I have helmets w air, but with just a couple other cars/ riders or when solo we prefer to go with goggles ( especially the wife) . I had the plastic 1/2 that makes it look like you had 10 beers 🍻at the bottom of all the big G -outs , and a shorter passenger ( wife) doesn't like looking through it either.

Hit up @dspracing. He makes nice windshields and is local to Havasu.

Glass could be option, by I have intrusion bars so that will make it tougher. Or I remove them. I typically only go with a small group and I can lay back to avoid dust.
Helmets and air, yes this is a option. But Id like to avoid it, more cost, not always needed.
The half plastic wind shield is to keep it a bit warmer inside and is actually required for street. Wife likes the wind being blocked, I dont disagree with her.

I use a swiffer on the extension now.

Good call - $200 less and free shipping is a no brainer to try one out with rain x, and have it on hand for colder days if nothing else. I Added his little trailing arm shields to try since mine are already pretty blasted.

I have a custom cage with an intrusion Bar and a glass windshield. It can be done. My buddy has wasted 2 of the "hardcoated" polycarb windshields on his last two cars. If you run in a crowd and get dust they just don't work.
Next time we go out I am going to put a couple of coats of automotive wax on my glass windshield and see if it makes it easier to clean and maybe even slows the dust collection down.

Just get a fresh air system and some good helmets from PCI, worrying about dust will be a thing of the past. And if you do that, just spend the extra money to get an intercom system so you can comfortably talk with your passengers, the combination of those two things makes rides more enjoyable than you think.

Just Money Motorsports fabbed a windshield for my SXS with an intrusion bar.

Will any wax work for the windshield or is Rain X the best answer?

I don’t have a final version picture of the windshield saved for some reason but here is an in process pic.

I do not run a windshield so I apologize in advance for the dumb question but will something like RainX not work on a Lexan type windshield? I have full face helmets and after each ride I use a Swiffer pad to wipe the face lens on the helmets. The dust clings to those pads and the face lens look like new again. Maybe I should try RainX on the face lens?

Scott makes a good sand goggle or did. May want to try an anti static cling spray for clothes in A inconspicuous spot to see if it works.
