Based on past Shoot Outs, a handheld VHF marine radio really makes it more enjoyable. Provides you with speeds ran and who’s coming up next. The prior live streams were good for those who were unable to attend. Too bad that’s not going to happen this year.

I would advise against whatever “Desert Storm App” scam they are running this year too. Never even posted a single speed in it last year. Would have felt a lot better if they just said it was a donation to their charity vs trying to sell it as a live feed.
