This dude always sleeps in, what seems to be, the most uncomfortable positions possible. HAHA

Seeing all the pictures brought a smile to my face.
Thanks.:)
It brought back memories of when I was a youngster living in Orlando and our Boxer Max and I would take 'napes' on the screened in porch.
Max was my pillow and best friend.
We were both 16 years of age when we lost him when we lived at Edwards AFB.:(
What a great friend and protective baby sitter.

For some reason when we have the sliding glass door open and the wind blows Roxy gets scared and hides between my legs. But when she is outside and the wind blows she doesn't even care. Strange...

I really have missed him for the past year, but fond memories, Boris sat on the steps weird every day as seen below, and also insists on sleeping with his stuffed animals. I have ten's more photos of him with his bear or his dog on my phone, but you get the idea.

Sebastian will lay near his chow and wait for a command to eat .... He will not cheat and The Wife has forgotten to give him the command and come out to the kitchen a half hour later to find him still in that position , He doesn't complain and I figure He must go into a doggy "Zen" or something... sebastian waiting....jpg sebastian food.jpg

this is brewsky. We snipped him last week and the combo with the donut toy and cone is hilarious. Then it looks like he forgot how to dog in the water. He's also now allowed in the boat, because wife.

Those Newfoundlands are awesome looking dogs! Absolutely massive!

Just outstanding dogs. And to most everyone's surprise, they do great in the heat. Just don't shave them. Make sure they have water and shade, if they want it. But, she loved to lay out in the sun. Our engine hatch was often her throne/lifeguard stand. She loved to watch kids play in the water.

I don't own a dog. But I'd rather be with dogs than most people.

I have friends that have dogs and they (the dogs) I consider to be my dogs. I go there and if I don't go see them first, they bark and howl until I go and spend time with them. I love them as much as if they were my dogs. I just don't have to feed and clean up after them.

Wifey will drink wine from a coffee cup to fool her.
Busted her by the pool one day hammering her margarita.

I swear I was gonna say I picture her more of a margarita kinda girl. Hahah

Yeah, that would have been cool to get them together. How is Alley doing? Roxy is doing good. However, we had a scare last year when she was diagnosed with skin cancer (squamous cell skin carcinoma). The Veterinarian said that it was odd where she got it (on the lower left side of her neck) since it often caused by exposure to the sun. She is primarily a house dog too so I am not sure what happened there. It looked like a sore/fatty tumor that wasn't healing and after several trips to the Vet they operated. We are going to get her checked out again this year so I hope it's gone for good.

Alley is good, getting old though. My wife thinks the dog is getting deaf and near sighted, but Alley can hear gold fish crackers getting poured out and still can snatch them out of the air when thrown.

She has those fatty tumors also, but the vet isn't to concerned, says it's normal for dogs her age. They dont bleed or ooze though, you can just feel them under the skin. Hope they got it all on Roxy.

Alley is by far the best dog I've ever had, wish Angie still was having puppies... :D

Our Newfoundland loved to fish for bluegill. She'd spend hours walking the shores of Havasu looking for them. She is the namesake of "Sadie's Cove", just north of Black Meadow Landing on the CA side.

What a beautiful dog.
A little known fact to some people is that Newfoundlands were bred to be water rescue dogs at sea for sailors who fell overboard.
Like Boxers they are very protective of young children.
