Hell Yeah. I'm so excited. I called it during the first game of playoffs. Dodgers vs Yankees.

My son and his friends have been over at our house for every game. Anywhere from 4-7 of them per game. They all played little league and high school baseball together and still hang out in college. Now they're drinking my beers too. I love it.

Wouldn’t it be kind of boring if everyone on this thread was rooting for the same team and there wasn’t anyone to smack around, especially if the other persons team actually loses?

Later in the evening, the Lakers will play the Phoenix Suns at Crypto.com arena. Meanwhile, at the LA Coliseum, the USC Trojans are scheduled to play Rutgers for a night of college football.

In addition, Inglewood will host two big events — with the East LA Classic football game between Theodore Roosevelt and James A. Garfield high schools at SoFi Stadium, and David Gilmour of Pink Floyd fame playing a concert at the Intuit Dome.

Some have dubbed the cluster of events as possibly setting the stage for a “carmageddon.””

There was a time I was a LA Dodger fan. It began at the LA Coliseum. Who remembers the Moon Shot over that weird LF fence. LA Dodger, Wally Moon, had fine tuned hitting HRs over it. There was also a time when going to a Dodger game was the best value in all of sports. Both of those things, fan and value, have changed. I was fortunate to enjoy years of great entertainment - Koufax, Drysdale, Roseboro, Wills, Davis (Tommy & Willie), Snider, Neal, Gilliam, Hodges, Scully and others. Good times and fond memories. Different times, a different LA and a much different CA.

Haven't watched a lot of baseball in the last few years. Wow, they really sped up the game with the time between pitches. Maybe a little too much, the mental battle between pitcher and batter is lacking at this speed. But at least it won't be a 4 hour game.
