Do I really need a Phone, or just internet access

The only voice calls I get anymore are telemarketing. Everything else is email or text.

Why am I paying for a voice?

I’d be more inclined to do the opposite. Latency has improved significantly w/ 5G. I’m guessing that in the next couple years it will be low enough to consistently support streaming and gaming applications with zero lag. When that happens I’ll ditch the internet and hotspot everything from my phone.

Dropped a home phone years ago, has never been an issue. Id say 70% of calls to my cell are junk, 25% work related, 5% family/friends that still dont like to text/email (older crowd). When I retire I might just shut off the phone part, hahahah.

Side note... Im a Commercial Electrical Contractor, I had my buddy make me that sign and have it hanging in our Conf Room . hahaha
