I’m looking for a dirt bike shop who will have an inner tube on hand and can change it for me if I bring the wheel in. I got all the right tools just no skill. I put holes in two inner tubes on two different attempts to install it. I’m over it. 😡

Honda CRF 110. I’m currently in Mohave Valley. I’ll go anywhere at this point. Please help.

Gear up in havasu can do it - buy the inner tube from the shop that does the work!

Any motorcycle maintenance place can do it, even an independent Harley shop

Google what close to you

I did one for the first time last river trip. It was much easier with 4 hands and a tire iron. Those smaller wheels can be a bitch. I ordered a extra spoon and several tunes after.

Yeah all these videos I watched the tires seem much more flexible. This tire just has no give to it. Such a pain in the ass. Kids are bummed. Just trying to come through for them.

Yeah 110’s are a bitch but if you have the right tire irons they aren’t bad. Get the round spoons that are almost flat. Best tire irons IMO

I though about a spare rim and tire. But it's almost cheaper to buy another bike. Had both 70s get a flat. Same size tires as the 110. I got 1 70 for $700.
Having a bike down sucks. Still hunting for another 110 or 2.

Exactly. You need these tire irons. I just bought a set. Small tires are hard. Breaking the bead on a small quad tire is tough.

When all else fails speedy tire in Norco will get it done. I’d imagine any tire shop could 🤷‍♂️

If you have all the tools watch YouTube… like most said above, put some baby powder in the tire and put a bit of air in the tube. Cover the tire lip with dawn soap and water and take small bites…

Thank you guys. It’s a learning curve for sure. I listened to all the tips on YouTube. Got these tire irons, used the baby powder. Used soap. I just keep pinching the tube. I think I need to pump it up more during install. About to drive to Fort Mohave. Hopefully they have a tube.

So the only person to watch do these tires is JAY CLARK with Dirtbike TV. He is the guru of motorcycles and followed by all the best in the business in SOCAL. Good dude. I posted a video from him below. I've literally seen Deegan watch his videos before trying to mount his own tires.

Sedona tubes are garbage and if that's all you can get, buy 2 at a time. Michelin and BF Goodrich are very good. A bit heavier, but they last.

The Motion Pro tire spoons are the best. I have others and they are ok, but motion pro owns motorcycle tools for a reason.

Baby powder in the tire is mandatory.

I prefer the tire paste over soap. For me, it is a game changer. I bought a bucket of Murphy's from Amazon, but most of them are about the same.

Just a bit of air in the tube before you try to mount.

Always put the tube in the tire, then insert the valve stem into the hole, screw the nut on the valve stem a few turns and use your body to push and hold the tire as you start to work your way around the tire/rim.

When you go around the tire and it starts to get tight, you have to go back to the parts of the tire that are already on the rim and knock it off the bead (this is the game changer for small tires)....get the tire to go back to the middle part of the rim so you have more room to get the rest of the tire inside the rim.

I feel your pain, I gave up on those 20 years ago. Even with the right tool changing a tire would cause at least two cursing outbursts.

I would call changing a tire a two fucks project

I bought a tire changing stand for dirt bikes. It holds down the wheel and you stand on the leg to support the stand. Makes a huge difference having the wheel clamped down solid if you are changing tires yourself. I also bought a jar of the tire goup they use at tire shops and just slather that on everywhere. And long tire irons, the longer the better. With those tips it made changing tires in the garage 10 times easier. I used to race so I would start each race with fresh tires that I changed, and at one point I was racing 50's and had to do that to 10" tires. Now those suck.

Years ago I could swap tires in 10 minutes. These days it takes me like 45 min to do. Swear these tires these days are freakin stiff.

Redline Motorsports in Fort Mohave took care of me. Cool people. They also agreed that the smaller tires are really difficult so I didn’t feel too bad about it.
30 bucks? Sometimes that’s well worth it

I've been running Nitromousse in my moto bikes for the last few years. What really helps is when you leave your tires out in the sun for a little bit, the warmth really softens the tire up and makes things easier. When I do a tubeless tire I use lots of soapy water all over the bead since it has to seat properly.

Im about to attempt doing the rear tire on my XR600

I'll let you know how it goes lol
I've changed probably 50 tubes/tires in my day from my 450, 150, 110, 70 down to the kids 50. Dish soap in a water bottle and douche the inside of the tire and tube. Let the tire heat up in the sun and you're good to go. I also put a little air in the tube so it takes shape and doesn't flatten out.

We will be going to cal city this year, is Skillet's group going to Dove again?
They’re going to superior dry Lake. Which is about 12 miles north of Hinckley. Near the bombing range. About 15 miles from the Husky monument.
Skillet will be driving his 1st gen Jimny. Original patina gold with alloy wheels. Fish will be driving his Land Rover. don’t imagine they’ll be going too far because anywhere in one of those is a long ride.

I just had to change another tube and changed the tire. 2 spoons 1 large flathead and 2 river neighbors that have done it a few times. And it was still a bitch. 6 hands was better than 4 though.

I have to do a 12 inch on the pit bike tomorrow. I've gotten pretty good at these, but 10's and 12's are never fun. Tire stand, tire paste, and making sure that it's not on the bead are the three necessities for me.

The stand is a game changer. I always kind of just figured it was a luxury but w the small tires for me it’s a necessity

Just loaded the bikes on the trailer. Fu,** me. The tube we changed last trip is toast along with the tire on that 70. Not sure what happened. The 50 tube is toast. So 2 flats.

A 12" and 10". That 10" looks like a nightmare after doing the 12".

If there was just 1 or 2. I think it would be better to just buy new bikes every 3 years.

KLX110L is the best bike out there. The Honda CRF110 is a close second, just sits a bit lower. The aftermarket for the Kawi is amazing.

I made a mistake of selling one and had to buy another right back. My son has fun on them and I do too.

5 minutes off, let’s see how long to the new tire on. I forgot, my tire stand doesn’t work with these 12’s. I’m using a 5 gallon bucket instead. 4 tire spoons works way better. I’m having three in place ready to go at each time so I don’t have to force one in.

Something must have changed since I was doing this, because changing tires on XR80's and XR100's was a four times a summer deal and 8 times in the winter deal.. I never really used anything but normal old tire irons and patience, but it shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes to change the tire? Biggest thing is put some air in the tire so it isn't completely flat and develops a fold.. and make sure you don't pinch it with a tire iron?

I thought about going to Anderson this morning and just paying. But last I heard it was $200 to change 2 quad tires. Plus tires and tube. Would be around 400 for both tires I need.

Both 70s the back tire was original not sure about the tube . 2004. Not sure how old the tube was I put in last trip it came with one of the bikes. But it only lasted 2 days.

Was going to buy a spare wheel as 3 of the bikes are that size. But I think it's cheaper to buy another used 70 for $6-800 than buying 2 spare wheels 1 front 1 back.

I cheated, I was able to use the tire stand when I knocked out the bearing. Would have taken me much much longer and probably would have needed someone else without it.

I used to have a tire changer. Been so long I don't recall what i did with it.

Any good links to buy one.

What's the best tires and tubes to buy?

Might as well just stock up on some with the proper tire changer.

Anderson didn't have the tires in stock. I don't think any other place in Parker would have it. They wanted 4k otd for the 110s. Crazy how del amo was 650 cheaper. My Niece showed up with her kids. They just bought 1 but it wouldn't fit in the SUV. Need to buy 2 Honda 110s, another 70 and another 50. So we have spares.

Cash in hand for the right bikes.

You have to run the 50 tires at 40+psi.

Same here on tools. 2 tire irons and soapy water. Key is you need the bead of the tire to ride in the center of the rim as you remove and install it.

If you have an 8 ball tire around you, they used to help me out a lot. Before I learned to do it, they would work me in fast and quick. I’d try to go right when they opened up and I’d take them a dozen donuts so they hooked me up pretty good.

MC tire works is by my house. I used to use them 20 years ago. Just don't have room at my house for the bikes.
