Slightly off topic, but a '32 roadster remains an unchecked box on my "cars I gotta have" bucket list.

How are these things to drive? Fun or a chore you put up with to look cool.

Just like any car, depends on who put it together. Some are buckets at 50 mph. and some will run 90 like a new car.

love it!!! does it have the mail slot zip in window for the top??? Shavers top or????

Yes, has zip in rear and side windows, but not the hindgey one, it's a "Rodtops" not a shaver, but I never have the rear window zipped in. I always run it open.

To answer @lenmann, mine drives fairly well, I run 70-80mph most of the time down the road, it doesn't stop all that great, but if you pay attention, it isn't really an issue.
No power steering sucks when trying to parallel park, but once moving, it's nice.

While it doesn't drive exactly like a new car, it is certainly not a chore, this car has never been on a trailer, once, and it has about 35K miles on it.

All aluminum Ed Pink 4cyl Ford with Kinsler stack injection and dry sumped. In street configuration it should be around 350 HP and only weighs 235lbs. Been saving this bad boy for a 32' for years.
Seriously?.. 350 hp and only 235 lbs ! That’s too cool. Do you have any pics? Would love to see it.

I can’t wait to see a bunch of pictures from the RDPeeps.
Do any of you guys remember the 75th anniversary deuces show. Or have the book on your shelf? Superb stuff. McGee Deuce made the top 75.

Mine is real fun to drive, it's a pro built car, power disc brakes , fuel injected ford svo...automatic,... any one can drive it with no weird stuff,. suspension is nice and it rides well.. I lowered the seat and pushed it back, also changed out the gas and brake peddles to spoon and puck from the big Zoops peddels, tilt wheel, turn signals work and shut off automatic as they should,.... pretty much drive likes any other car...

also, it dyno'd @ 275 hp and 385 tq at the rear wheels ,... so fun to drive...

Wasn't too impressed with the run.... cost me 83 bucks to park my car on the street Thursday... only thing going on was the fly'n X, and the rdp office....(thanks for the beer!)...

I attended Thursday Night on the Blvd and the show on Saturday, it was awesome with plenty of high-end rides. I stuck around until they gave out the awards to the top ten cars. Only to find out it was a JOKE as the best cars didn't even get any recognition, typical car show where winners are picked by the same people every year and ALL THEIR BUDDY'S GET THE AWARDS. Disappointing to say the least.... Put a damper to the entire weekend after seeing that.
I call Bullshit ....

Interesting. I assume you’ve built it to run on the street and it not all strung out? Midget engines don’t live real long and they’re spendy. Would be super cool though.

I ran asphalt midgets for a few years and my father campaigned sprint cars for about a decade.

This engine came out of my Beast pavement car. I am going to take some compression and cam out of it and increase the displacement. I am also going to convert the mechanical injection to EFI.

Where did you and your dad race? What is your name?
