Damn what ci is the motor? That’s a shit ton of hp to the ground. My 383 made 401 to the ground my buddies 440 made 423 to the ground both at CBM with Chris doing the tuning.

It’s a standard LS1. CBM put there cam in it and designed the build for the guy I bought it from. He was very proud of the HP, had the dyno sheet framed!!

Gotcha an LS1 (350”) with cam and no smog etc from CBM is what they call the CBM450 (approximately 450hp to the flywheel) I’m not trying to bust your post up and will delete if you’d like, i dig the car but just trying to point it out for you. To make that hp with a 2d would destroy a 2d and be excess of 600hp. Mine is stroked, big gnarly heads cam etc etc etc for 530+ hp and barely broke the 400 to the wheel.

I do agree. At the flywheel, that number is probably accurate. 470+ to the wheels out of a 346 LS engine would take a max effort build. That Speedmaster intake would not support that level of power or RPM required, and the 85mm throttle body that it runs would be a big restriction at that power level. It has 243 heads, which are probably ported.

All that said, I am sure the car hauls ass.

Talked to the original owner. It is stroked so it’s a 383 with normal bore. His shop did most of the work and cbm did the final and final tune. The dyno was done at cbm with the motor in the car and it pushed 473! I get that it’s a 2D, the trans had been in the car since 2009 before I re built it. A clip inside broke otherwise it would have still been going. It has 930 cv’s in it so you’ll break an axel before you break the trans. I’m not disputing that it’s as much HP as a 2D can handle but the car is set up well and given an owner who doesn’t side step the clutch and takes care of there stuff it will last for years.

That makes more sense. That said, a bigger throttle body and better intake would be worth some power!

Definitely a solid motor. And I can see how the bigger TB and better intake would increase a little HP. It runs great as is and as mentioned it’s already about as much HP as the 2D trans can take.
