A kid could ride the bus all over LA in the '60's. I'd ride my bike from Pasadena with my Sister on the handlebars from Pasadena to the Huntington Sheraton Hotel in San Marino and we'd swim all afternoon, then ride back home. I had a paper route for the Pasadena Star News.

Mom would take us hiking up the Arroyo Seco. Picnics and Boy Scout Jamborees in Arroyo Seco Park. Hike the Mt. Wilson toll road out of Altadena, up to Hennigar Flats, then up to Mt. Wilson.
