Best most durable water containers are Fiji Water.
I think you could hammer a nail through a 2X4 with one of their plastic bottles.

Coke had really crummy packaging for a while too.

Cans and packages wouldn't hold up to a day in the boats cooler so we quit buying it.
Open the ice chest and it was brown full of Coke for the lousy cans leaking.

Evidently we weren't the only ones and Coke went back to their old style packaging.

Now we get cartons of Coke Zero with half filled or empty cans, no flavor, no fizz.
Pepsi until Coke gets it's latest Mulligan fixed.

Crown Royal needs to team up with Coke and sell it ready to go in a pre-mix. That'd be nice, no more clangin bottles around in the ice-chest......you don't need water till you back inside for the day....come on you're at the river!.....unless ur the dd then you have a hall pass:drnkfr:drnkfr

Thet are very thin...But I think he was aiming at getting the cheap shot at the liberals in...:blah: :blah:

Bottles 1st, scumbag liberals 2nd. And no cheap shots, mere facts.

Yes they are very cheap and flimsy. I dropped on in the garage last night and it shattered. Its hard to open them without squeezing water everywhere. :thumbsdown

We pay the same amount for CRV at checkout but get less back when we take to recycler where they measure by weight.
It ain't just the aquafina bottles that have gone on diets.:p

Did anyone else notice that the bottle caps have gotten shorter. Noticed this yesterday on an Arrowhead bottle of water from Costco.

This would require a massive tooling change to both the cap and Bottle. Most of the cap molds I have seen are 128 Cavities.

It just shows you how many bottles/caps are being produced to pay for these changes.

The real problem with the thin bottles is when you try to use them a water rockets in the Cub Scouts. We get kits for turning the bottles into rockets, complete with nose cones and tail fins and etc. The problem is that as soon as we pressurize the bottle, all the accessories blow off from the bottle expanding. Out of 50 scouts, only a few used the thicker coke plastic bottles...which worked great - went couple hundred feet up. The rest of the water bottle rockets fell apart before take off and usually flew like a balloon that you let go before tying never making it more that 10-20 feet off the ground. And several of them simply broke open when pressurized. This green movement is robbing our kids of good clean family fun!!!!:bash:

I had an issue with one of these flimsy Aquafina bottles the other day. I set a full one with the cap off next to my laptop on the table and the damn thing collapsed under its own weight and spilled all over my computer.:grumble: After cleaning my computer I walked straight the fridge and threw the rest of the unused ones out.

Same thing has happened to me. Minus the spilling on lap top.

I did notice the other day that the arrowhead bottles, 12oz I think will actually twist and crumble in my hand before I can loosen the top. Never gave it much thought until this thread. Hate when it happens cause the water spills out.

Bingo! The eco-fina bottles are the same.

Damn I just can win with bottles! Coors Light cuts my hand, and eco-fina gets all over the damn place. The irony!

Hold the bottle toward the top when opening, I figured it out on the first bottle, so it can't be too difficult.:skull
